This is being passed on to an administrator as I am not able to give the required one month vacation for this offense.

1 month ban??I have seen players thrown off this site for a lot less and this player is going to get a 1 month ban?I have been on this site for over 2 years now and it's only getting worse because of players like this.This is wrong and this player should not be aloud to stay here.

Per the new Community Guidelines and the punishment ladder that was discussed by the community in the last few months, this is the second step, since he was warned earlier this month for racist game chat.

This was handled by KA. 1961ich is now on his One Month Vacation.

i do have to say. i saw some of the chatter, and said some things in the new community guidelines. i think everybody agreed. i dont think that they have to be followed every time though. i think lack or andy should be able to look at an isolated situation like this one, and determine he is bad for the site. can we vote in these cases?

See, this is a problem. I realize you don't have any control over this lance, but perhaps you can bring it up in the mod forum...the repulsive action warranted a ban, obviously, since a 1-month vacation was given. However, IF that ban was only for the forums and doesn't include the gamechat, then it's not really a ban at all. As far as I am aware, this individual does not post in the forums much at all. So this is essentially no punishment for an act that definitely is worthy of one. If that makes sense.

for once, yes, you do make sense woody. how to discipline someone who doesnt use these forums. i say you have to do game play. prevent him from making further games, and then when the last one runs out, or has less than 4, you issue a 30 day game suspension.

You would think so Masli.The point here is 1961ich has done this more than 4-5 times and should be taken off the site imo.This is a place to have fun not call players racist names.

Exactly...I just posted in C&A to let the mods/admins look at it.Hopefully this time the right thing is done.

A user can not be retroactively punished for something that occurred before a previous warning for that same incident. Thus, any bigotry/racism/etc. that occurred before July 1st was incorporated into the first warning. Any bigotry/racism/etc. that occurred after July 1st and up to when he was sent on vacation was incorporated into the vacation. Any future incidents that are reported will lead to a permanent removal from the website.

I have also discussed the merits of using a forum ban instead of a website ban. Since game chat is not currently an area from which moderators and administrators have the ability to ban a user, users will receive a forum ban for their actions. A game chat ban is likely to not be instituted because of the implications on team games and other diplomacy issues related to game chat. If you have any issues with this that you would like to discuss, or any changes you would like to see, please either PM AndyDufresne or create a thread in the Suggestions & Bug Reports forum.

Those are pretty mild compared to his previous rants, maybe his retalin is finally kicking in.
