I just don't think this type of behavior is appropriate on any site, especially one that i have to pay for. I can foe him, but why should anyone have to put up with this.

what if a guy is playing for free and thinking about joining and then he plays this guy and he doesn't join. There is one less paying customer.

This is very very far from a one time deal, and mbohn2 has been warned before. "suck it up cupcake" is hardly applicable here.
Outside of complaints about the dice, nothing drives people away from this site more than guys like this (in my opinion).
So, posting in the C&A forum is exactly the right move and a necessary step towards cleaning out the garbage. "suck it up cupcake" may feel fun to say, and i'm sure you think it makes you look cool and original but let's look at the bigger picture here shall we?

well carmens i suggest you read the c.c. guidelines, i will give you a little light reading from it,

"Annoying Players:

* Sometimes you will find yourself in a game with an annoying player. If you do not like their comments in the chat or their playing style, you can add that player to your foe list. Once on the list, you will no longer have to read their comments, and they will not be able to join future games with you if you joined the game first.

# Banter and some trash talking IS allowed in the Game Chats, so don't waste time complaining about that.
# You may not be used to hearing or reading those "four-letter words", but some people do and will use them. This isn't a reason to open a complaint about the player; just kindly ask them to stop or ignore them.

i was looking for something like that and couldn't find it, thanks for pointing it out. I did have reservations about posting this assuming this exact thing existed.

Now after reading it, I still fell that he violates the following:


This includes curse words and foul language. They are allowed on this site and would be too difficult to moderate every one.
so he passes this muster as his words are allowed

Bigotry: Not tolerated at all; no forms of bigotry allowed in live chat or the forums.
he does not pass muster on this one

I quite strongly believe you are wrong about that. His homophobic and racist rants just in the places that were quoted in this thread are enough for a first-offense warning easily, and certainly more than that if mbohn2 has already been warned. Based on what I've seen of mbohn2 myself, I'm pretty sure that a warning has already been issued to them previously. I think if mbohn2 receives only a warning, they should consider themselves VERY lucky.

The man talks dirty? OK ok it's fine; racism, bigotry, hate? sure sure sure, but what I dislike even more is censorship and other forms of pussification as most likely coined by George Carlin. Like others said before, just foe him--POOF he's gone and easily ignored. Besides, people like this are great since they provide you with the opportunity to practice patience and tolerance--they'll make you tougher. So let's have a moment to appreciate mbohn2's mean-spirited nonsense, and then get on with it. CC's current policy of "suck it up, cupcake" reigns supreme. It obviously has more advantages and avenues of growth then censoring so many things which would cut us off from dealing with these types of negative experiences.

There's your solution right there in bold CAPITALS. Some players get a little hot under the collar, unfortunately some are more extreme with their verbal outbursts than others. Trash talk is to be expected, unless it is 'severe chat abuse' you needn't report it.

He is already on my foe list, not for abusive language, just for been an annoying useless prick. I think as this is mainly an adult site, maybe the mods shouldn't be so PC about naughty words.

The question seems to be if the FREDVIII rule will apply or if the rules will remain a foggy case by case interpretation

a couple of points I would like to make, then i'm leaving town.


1) this is not an adult site since you don't have to verify your age
2) I understand that 4 letter word are allowed, but i doubt the way they are being used in what the owners had in mind
3) Maybe the letter of the law isn't being broken, but the spirit of the rule is being broken
4) If the 'SIUC' in the answer I receive so be it, I have no 'tears to wipe away', I just thought I would bring this to the moderators attention, in case it hasn't been brought up before. But, I did a search this morning and he appears to have received multiple warnings for this behavior
5) he has posted racist comments
