Fixed, use this for future reference, also put the accused in the "Subject:" line.
Also, I agree they dragged it out and were of mild offense in the game chat.

Just some quick comments here.

  1. richardgarr is right, try to fill out the form correctly. If the hunters put in as little effort hunting as some people did filling out forms, then no-one would get busted
  2. The game was casual, but was played RT. The game was delayed 9 turns, which all up lasted 35 minutes. Yes, this is a prick of a thing to do, and maybe technically against the rules, but it's 35 minutes cupcake. Plus, you could have walked away any time you wanted.
  3. And the real clincher... the person holding up the game is freemium, the person being held up is premium. So, the person doing the holding up was doing himself a dis-service, and the person being held up wasn't affected at all.

Yes, rene-lp is a dick, and if I was more generous with foe'ing people, he'd make the list. But seriously pridekiller, of all the cheating and abuse reports I've read here in the past month, even those bogus ones posted by demonfork, this would have to be pretty near the top of the list of "Most Unnecessary Wastes the Hunter's Time".

I find it fascinating that this guy has 137 games under his belt with ZERO ratings on him, and he plays mostly large games. That's actually kind of amazing to me.

Be sure before you accuse someone!

There is no breech of the rules that occurred over the course of this game.
If you think this guy behaved like a jerk? Rate him appropriately, add to your foe list & move on.

Actually, purposely prolonging a game is holding them hostage. Just so you know.

And to the ratings comment, maybe most of the games were played before the ratings existed? :?

It could have been over in 20 minutes. The length of which the game was drawn out does not change the fact that prolonging the game when there is clear dominance is against the rules. Just because it wasn't drawn out for a week doesn't make this any less abusive. I know when I've lost a game, or am clearly going to I don't want to keep taking my turn in it, I want it to be over with. Telling someone to stop taking their turns would lead to a poor rating, and would also encourage another to break a rule, I personally find that unacceptable. First thirty-five minutes next an hour, than a month? It's got to stop some time, and quite frankly I say they should be warned at the very least if not temp-banned. Also, maybe the game was prolonged for farming(They purposely lowered their rank to receive a higher in the long run) reasons, did that ever cross your mind? All it could take is 35 minutes to lose a game. Think about it, hotshot.

True Strife, entirely true. When I first saw this thread I thought "Wow, isn't this something coded got a stern warning over before, and someone else recently sailed into dangerous waters doing". Then I looked in the game. It was a freemium holding a premium hostage. Premiums have unlimited games, so it wasn't affecting the hostage so much as the hostage taker! It still is a prick of a thing to do, but in contrast to a freemium being held hostage, it hardly bears water.

Yea, that's why I suggest a warning and consequence of a ban if it happens(they do it) again.

I guess that's true (he has feedbacks)...that still seems very odd to me, though. Just came back to life, I suppose.

I'm guessing that considering he hasn't played for a long time (notice the 3,000,000 number gap between that his and the one before that) he's probably savoring a victory. Sure, he's a jerk, but technically, it's still not against the rules.

However, what I did notice is that both new games were speed games. :?: :?: :?:

HE'S A FREAKIN NON-MEMBER!

So, two possibilities here:

One: he had a membership and waited till just before it ran out to play some speed games.
Two: he hacks.

I haven't had a proper look at the game yet (or the other posts in this forum) I'll get round to that later...probably.

Firstly, what is 'draging'? (I assume you mean dragging)

Secondly, just deploying and ending the turn is a perfectly acceptable (and sometimes prudent) tactic.

Thirdly, all I could read in the game chat was this:

2009-07-05 03:47:47 - rene_lp: lol at priekiller
2009-07-05 03:47:49 - rene_lp: pridekiller
2009-07-05 03:47:53 - rene_lp: you clown
2009-07-05 03:52:14 - rene_lp: for you
2009-07-05 03:52:19 - rene_lp: I left Esch
2009-07-05 03:52:27 - rene_lp: for you to attack
2009-07-05 03:52:30 - rene_lp: as you are right there
2009-07-05 03:55:14 - rene_lp: fucking bullshit
2009-07-05 03:55:28 - rene_lp: piece of shit game
2009-07-05 04:01:21 - rene_lp: I'm killing you son
2009-07-05 04:01:31 - rene_lp: and your firstborn
2009-07-05 04:07:07 - rene_lp: I'm just toying with you
2009-07-05 04:07:16 - rene_lp: you're so lucky with your cards though lol
2009-07-05 04:13:31 - rene_lp: I'm a very tactical player
2009-07-05 04:13:55 - rene_lp: the way you spell though, I would guess you are younger than 10 years old
2009-07-05 04:14:06 - rene_lp: d u ndrstnd me?
2009-07-05 04:15:57 - rene_lp: you're
2009-07-05 04:16:00 - rene_lp: not ur
2009-07-05 04:19:37 - rene_lp: and stop being such a poor loser
2009-07-05 04:19:46 - rene_lp: resorting to name calling
2009-07-05 04:36:07 - rene_lp: this is good
2009-07-05 04:36:14 - rene_lp: we are getting some real quick turns here
2009-07-05 04:47:00 - rene_lp: I FUCKED YOU UP

I'll have to unfoe pridekiller before I can look at the rest, though only seeing half of the conversation can be quite comical.

regarding the speed games, freemiums DID get 2 free speed games long long back when we were voting for cc as the best online strategy game. Voting was going on in some god-knows-what's-it's-name site and lack promised freemium players who voted with 2 free speed games if cc won :) (forgot what premium guys got)

so he musta had those 2 speed games with him all the way till now.

Premiums got a free month I think. Also there were games given out when the server crashed last March (which was around the time this account stopped playing games).

OK. Just had a proper look at the game.

Obviously rene_lp had an overwhelming advantage and could have finished his opponent off at any time in the last few rounds when pridekiller was down to one territory.

That was out of order, rene_lp. Wholly unnecessary.
