Congo [closed]

It was a 5 player France speed game. He was clearly missing turns for troop deferrals to control a continent. He missed 4 turns at the appropriate time. The last time he did it, we even thought he may have been busy and left the game. But it became clear that he did it to backdoor me while I went after active players. I believe this was intentional and it helped him win the game. Near the end of that very long game, for the last 3 hours when it was down to 3 players and missing turns made no sense, he stopped doing it. He is at 97 percent turns taken which is suspicious. I only have this very circumstantial evidence. But I figured since what he did was so blatant that I should report him and if there are subsequent reports then you can go from there. From here I'm simply foeing him. No more worries from my end.

Thank You

Foe & rate accordingly.... may I suggest 1 star in all catagories. This is a strategy... not a cheat per say.

You sound a wee bit bent out of shape because you lost....... He has taken 97% of his turns. You have taken 98% of yours... Pot calling the kettle eh? Have played a few games against Congo, not the most talkative of players, but quite a worthy opponent. Has a habit of playing in multiple speed games at once. Oh, and yes he has beaten me and missed turns in games against me.

Nothing illegal about missing turns, as the quote above states... this is a possible strategy
and it apears to have worked. It is an opportunity to kick their butt or in the least slow
them down, unless everyone ignores them and allows the deployment bonus to grow.

Missed turns as a tactic may be obnoxious, but this was a speed game so the wait was short
and I don't think it merits an all 1 star rating. After all, it was you and the other players on
the map that let them get away with it... in the game.

It isn't a cheat or an abuse, so I guess the no form of this complaint is appropriate.

You could easily cut down on his use of this "strategy" (which is being kind, quite honestly) by simply attacking him when he misses a turn. He'll be at a great disadvantage.

Exactly. Lower his troop count down to as little as 3 and you don't have to worry about him massing huge troop deferments against you. Sadly this is part of the game that you have to deal with sometimes, as users who lack the intellect strategically to compete will find a loop hole to try to even the playing field. The best thing to do is "Foe & Rate Accordingly"

Good Luck & Good Advice from all already in this thread,
King Sam
