Comments: Within the space of two hours I received three PMs from this person.

The first was a multiple-posting to several entrants of The Apocalypse tournament. In it he 'warned' about multiple-posting, and yet doing the same thing himself (prior to this, some of the entrants had multiple PMed to other entrants with good luck messages etc.).

I responded to this with a polite reply, agreeing that multiple-posting was unnecessary, but he had (either wittingly or unwittingly) done the same thing himself.

The second PM I received from him was a rather rude retort. I was a bit annoyed at this point and PMed back in capitals, warning him not to PM me any more or he will be reported.

A third PM was received slamming ME for MY manners. I suggest the administrators have a look into this. At the least, these PMs are antagonistic and arrogant, and are bordering on malicious. It is certainly PM harassment.

According to the Community Guidelines, spamming is defined as "...posting for the sole intention of being annoying" including "Double/triple/multiple posting". Admittedly, this is in the section on forum posting, but I am sure it applies to PMing as well.

I am also aware that it is possible to prevent 'foes' from PMing you. However, I do not want to prevent PMs from 'foes' for the sake of one person, and deny others (who may have been foed for any number of reasons) the ability to send me PMs.

I will forward copies of the PMs to administrators (and anyone else who has a good reason to view them) upon request.

Mmm... Well, I was calm, just being sarcastic when replying twice to Hoagy. He apparently didn't get that. Figured he would be upset, but didn't think he would actually post a C&A post.

To actually answer Hoagy instead of messing around: Suck it up cupcake. If you start pming people you have to realize that you just might get an answer. I'm sure you'll survive.

alstergren like all of us may get a bit annoyed from time to time, cant you just forget about this case and move on, its not like he stepped out of line at all. cursing and swearing is just how we do it on cc. lol. nah im kidding, but come on we all get annoyed from time to time, and it looks like he was just having a laugh anyway

Somewhere in that jumble of comments you have probably got a point. My second PM shouldn't have been capitalised, and possibly should have been worded a bit differently.

However, I was incensed a little (OK a lot), mostly because my initial PM intended to make light of his multi-posting about multi-posting (of which I had not made any), and received a harsh, rude and totally unnecessary and uncalled for reply. If this is what alstergren thinks passes for humour then he needs help. (He wasn't trying to be humourous, as he later tried to suggest in this forum, he was just being belligerent. I know it, he knows it, you know it, the whole world and his dog knows it). 5 stars...??? Get real!

But, yes. I think the general gist of your posting, jefjef, is that people like this just aren't worth losing any sleep over.

You take yourself too serious. I was very much aware of the fact that my first PM to everyone constituted spam. Then, when you write me a PM like that, well, you get the response you deserve... Trust me, it was sarcastic and I found the whole exchange to be pretty funny. You shouldn't get that worked up about things, you only trigger people like me. And no, it's no abuse. You brought it all on yourself inviting me to reply on your PMs. If you don't want my enlightened thoughts delivered straight into your inbox, well, don't write me and ask for it...

Listen mate, let's just call it a quits. I don't think you suffered that much and being a grown man, you could forgive and forget. I'll promise not to start sending you weekly PMs....

Im gonna vote for alster on this one.. seriously.. this is a joke report given what you sent back to him in all caps. He asked politely, you came back, he answered...you then punched in all caps....did you expect anything else at this point.

If anything, you should be warned for a bs cheating thread at this point. Anyone can see youre at least as much to blame as he is and calling 2 pms that were responding spam is just ridiculous...

I have to ask. Did you really expect anything to come of this. Its fairly obvious why you didnt make the pms public yourself.

Have you read my last post on this forum? I have admitted that posting in all caps was a little out of order on my part. Maybe my mistake is admitting any fault at all, but that's me.

The sarcastic comment made by alstergren (the second post) was beyond sarcastic, it was just outright rude. Not funny, not a joke, and anyone who thinks that in any way it can be taken as funny has got something wrong with them.

That said, and this will be the final word on the matter unless an administrator takes it up, I have glanced at one of alstergren's post and seen this written;

"Listen mate, let's just call it a quits."

I am happy to go with this. I will apologise for RESPONDING to his provocation, though I shall expect a similar apology back. No retorts, no final witicisms, no cleverness, just a simple apology, then we can both move on.

Anyone who has a different opinion on this, at this point I don't want to know, so do not bother posting.

This is just silly. If everyone has some medication? Please take it now.
Otherwise... just run away.
