Comments: claudio here thought it was a good idea to post private game invitations in the Swedish language forum. This should probably have been made in the call-out forum, but certainly not the Swedish language forum. By doing this he didn't respect the special guidelines, i.e. "This forum is for a specific language group. Please respect and use the language for which the forum was intended." It's not a biggie of course, but for future references (both with respect to the individual's record as well as on a general level as it could be interested to see how the mods categorize this) I think it can be posted here. A slap on the wrist and a Noted tag perhaps?

I don't see the problem.

If he only wants Swedish-speaking players on his team then he posts the password in a place only Swedish-speaking players will take much note of...

He's Dutch. And had he been Swedish (or Spanish) speaking, I assume he would have made respective post in those languages. The national forums shouldn't be used to advertise games etc. by people with no connection to respective forum (at least not without a good explanation why he/she is looking for a particular nationality).

If he speaks fluent Swedish, than he is connected to that forum. It's like if i spoke fluent spanish (even tho i do not, but would like to, lol), I should have the right to post in that forum. Also, he could have been born in Sweden, but you never know. I do not think he is doing anything wrong, I mean if he wants to play against Swedish speaking players, maybe in order to talk to them about something or to breach out on the site, than he should.

Do you guys posting in here even bother to look into my post before starting to make up theoretical excuses? The guy's IP-address is Dutch, he obviously is Dutch-speaking as he posted the same thing in the Dutch forum, see:

He makes posts in English in the Swedish/Spanish forums with nothing else to say than fishing for people to join his games. I don't think that's really what the language forums are there for...

Maybe he likes blondes, hell if my written french was as good as my spoken I would be posting in the french forum, the frogs know how to harbour a grudge, and are honourable..... "minor forum abuse", posted by a major nit picker, come on bro get a grip, find me some more multis to foe please

why not just tell him about how this isn't what those respective forums were designed for instead of tattling.

Its not like this offense is anywhere near a big deal, unless its definite gross abuse, which appears to not be. Sometimes reaching out and being a friend and either reminding or telling another owner that this isn't how things are done goes a long way, and doesn't wast anyone else's time.

You said yourself that it was a minor abuse, so why did you post it in the Cheating & Abuse forum? Individual posts that break the guidelines are to be reported using the Report Post triangle symbol located at the top of every post.

Furthermore, these posts were made over 2 months ago, so why did you just now report them?

I've moved the threads to Callouts and am marking this thread as Closed. Next time, please use the report post feature so the hunters won't have to do the job of the moderators.

1. I was (after 3 yrs on this site) not aware about this report post triangle. But you're right, it's something like that there!
2. Just saw the posts, have not checked any dates.

All in all, I did was I assumed could be done. The minor statement was a way to be nice (as it is indeed minor). Will take the triangles into account next time.
