Juventino - Ratings Abuse [warned]

Accused:

juventino

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Ratings abuse

Game number(s):

Game 5066052
Game 5063565
Game 5037745
Game 5020385

And many more (just look at his ratings left and the response)

Comments: Ok...I played this guy in a 1v1 classics match. I finished the game in 13 minutes, won in four rounds, only said gl in the gamechat, all he says is gg, and he rates me a 3 on fair play and 1s on gameplay and attitude. If you look at his other games, he generally rates very low when he loses.

I think your stretching it with your new hobby of reporting ratings abuse cases with this one.

Yeah Juventino has a tendency of rating on the lower scale then most, but his ratings that he leaves are all over the place and no trend that I can tell.

Maybe you should ask him the reason he rated you poorly.

The games you sited where he did the abuse all have clear reasons as to why he could have except the yours.

master111 rating in Game 5063565 & Game 5037745 probably came from the chat that was written in Game 5037745

And shanksdigs rating in Game 5020385 most likely came from the tactics displayed to him in that Freestyle match.

Everyone is entitled to rate based off of their opinions, and abuse comes in to play when you have a user that solely rates in one way without reason, which is hard to prove. I think it will be hard to prove in this case cause his ratings are unique through out meaning I would believe he puts logic behind them when he rates, therefor having a reason to rate you and the others this way.

Good Luck,
KS

A. This is my fourth total thread here...and all of which have resulted in either noted or temporary ban.
B. Yes, his ratings are all over the place, but almost all of his ratings are 3 or below. He rates 1s in attitude when nothing is said, 1 in gameplay when he is beat, and 1 in fairplay when nothing close to unfair has been done. If he loses, he is almost automatically going to give a bad rating, which I think is simply unfair; you shouldn't be punished for beating someone.

I agree with you that you shouldn't have to be worried about getting rated poorly for winning.

But how do you know in the games he lost that something wasn't presented to him that gave him justification to think that the player he rated "poorly" wasn't justified.

A rating of a 3 is average, here is a breakdown of ratings he has left:

31 1 or 2 stars (below average) on Fairplay out of 71
45 1 or 2 stars (below average) on Gameplay out of 71
37 1 or 2 stars (below average) on Attitude out of 71

And for the most part out of the 10 or so games I checked that he left these numerous of 1 and 2 star ratings he either had a conflict with them in the game chat or there was a possibility of seeing something during that game that could have backed his perception up. (like a double turn in a Freestyle match)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and his overall judging might be a lil harder then most therefor skewing his results to be on the lower side when he rates. Unless you can site another game that appears to be just a vindication rating and he says yeah it was I don't see him being guilty of anything but holding players to a higher standard, and rating them that way.

King Sam

I can see king sam's point that there is a significant number of juventino's given ratings that are within reason. However, there is also a number that are also questionable dating back from the first rating he gave. Because of these, juventino has been warned to be more careful from now on (hopefully).

Not sure if there is a possibilty to appeal.

But at a quick look my avarage of ratings are a little below 3. Shouldnt 3 be avarage? If a player have a avarage of 5, isnt that abuse? Not someone who gives out 3 as an avarage.

I cant remember all my ratings (who can) but I can assure you everyone was fair.
Sometimes the reasons are not in the gamechat or in the gameplay. PM:s. walls etc

To the one who started this turn. I dont remember our game. I see I gave you a 3 (avarage in fairplay) And i think you deserve it.

I then gave you two 1's. For our two games i havent enjoyed them. diplomacy, teamwork etc in the rules. I will not take that 1 away.

Perhaps the one in the attitude is a bit low but I just thought that one might say something if someone wishes someone good luck. It should perhaps have been a 2. But as I said. I cant remember our game so i cant say if there were pm.s or something like that.

There were no interactions between us at all...and how could you give me a gameplay of 1 when I beat you in 4 rounds. I also played very quickly, noticing that you are freemium and would want as many slots as possible, which I think is having a great attitude. A lot of players just wait in freestyle games, I played even tho I knew you were online. Your ratings for shankdigs also seemed very unfair.

It is a strange system. The reasons for all the ratings are not shown in the game. I have talked to someone in the chat for an rt but it doesnt become an rt. Will this show? No.

I have an avarage of almost 3 in my ratings. Is that an abuse? No.

EDIT: One of the games mention above. In the chat-room i and a guy agreed to play an rt. Then it becomes a game where he starts the turn after 1-2 min.... No word about this in the gamechat. Does this guy deserves a 1-1-1 rating. Yes. Does it show why? No

So you feel a 1 or 2 minute pause before taking a turn is unreasonible for RT?

well.. i do. If we have agreed in the chat that it will be a "no-waiting-game" then i think 2 min is unreasonible.

What if the player had to take a bathroom break? What if someone had called up? What if someone had come and he/she had to go and open the door?

Plenty of cases where a person can take anywhere between 2-5 mins before taking turns. I don't feel this warrants 1-1-1 as these are things out of one's control.

If i talk to someone.. and we agree to play a rt without waiting and to start our turn asap and he doesnt. then i wil give a 1-1-1 rating. Of course if he has to leave and go to the bathroom or something that is ok.. But if it is me.. then i would write and tell so..

If the other guy only plays a normal game.. without prev. agreement. i dont care if he waits 1 min or 5 or 6 hours...

Exactly...also, I would like to know the reasoning for my rating. Just for curiosity's sake.

Think this thread should be reopened. Looks to me as juventino choses to rate only when he's got a grievence, i.e. he doesn't rate for good or nice games. This is the question that should be answered, i.e. is such use of the rating system potentially abusive and should lead to a warning. Just saying that there are "also a number that are also questionable dating back from the first rating he gave" doesn't cut it. If so, someone should bring proof or statements to that fact (which no one haven't). Too early a warning/decision since juventino never got the chance to post in the thread.

This is so sad, Juv... you see,
Now you can never date my daughter...

Now let me add that i would not hesitate to play anybody that juv has given high ratings too...
He doesn't give them out lightly, which means they have significant meaning... as they should!

He almost automatically gives out bad ratings to anyone he loses to, or anyone who does not play Rt, even when Rt isn't called or agreed upon. For example, in our 1v1 game, I beat him in 4 rounds (13 minutes), said Gl, and played as quickly as I could. One of his reasons for giving me a 3 and 2 1s is because I w8ed in between rounds, but he never mentioned Rt or asked for it, and I was in about 3 other speed games so there is no logical way for me 2 take my turns that quick. If you look at his ratings, his excuse for giving them is whether he enjoyed the game or not, and he obviously does not enjoy losing. Hence why he has been warned.

I have played perhaps 1300 games 1vs1 since the rating begun. I have lost.. hmm.. lets say 30% or 400 of those games. I have left around 40 bad ratings. half to people i won against. Half to people i lost.

I have left bad ratings in 20 cases out of 400 when i have lost. I didnt give you a 1-1-1 rating. I dont ask for RT (almost never) since i know it is futile if you dont play a speedgame. (How many just sits and waits for the other one to make the move)

My second point is not only stuff in the game ir rateble for me. If i play someone who sits quite in the game but then sends me pms of a bad nature. Of course he will get a bad rating even if there are no "proof" in the gamechat. You deserved the rating, i admitted perhaps one star more but not sure. I rarely rate. And my ratings are from 1-1-1 to 5-5-5 and everything inbetween. It is 3-1-1 or 1-3-5-or 3-1-3 pr 4-3-2. I rate the way it was supposed to..

You keep on using PMs as an excuse..but never given any proof of 1. I am sure that people have PMed you, but that has probably seldom happened.

I have given 20 or less cases bad ratings when i have lost. Lets say 15 of those have reasons in the chat or gameplay. That leaves 5 questionsmarks.

I have lost around 400 games. 400 minus those 35 is 365. So 5 out of 365.

Some of those i have talked to in the chat. Other have written stuff on the wall or in pm's. I have given bad ratings in games i have lost in around 1% of the cases without reason in the game it self.

I get pm's. People write stuff on the wall. Even though i try and take the worst away...

You're the one making up those numbers...also I am referring to mainly 1v1 games, and especially when they are freestyles.
