This whole thread is silly. Near as I can tell it was good intentioned teasing. Unfortunately, you can't always tell when someone is teasing in the written word and apparently they took it to heart.

Seriously though I was under the impression that North Dakota was a rugged part of the country. I would figure such a type of land would be home to people with slightly thicker skin.

As far as I saw, he didn't insult you at all. He made fun of a state. If you keep missing that point, you could be said to be doing the same.

It was ovious that the insults of my state were towards me and some were directly towords me.

Anyway... It isn't about what comments you take as jokes and which ones you take seriously to be offensive.

Canada tugged along with America has been called a nation of desecrators, Godless infidels, all manner of religious insults by eastern Nations. On the same whim, we've been categorized by our tukes, "eh" and pet beavers. Don't let the comments get to you.

You should see playoff hockey season around here... the provinces all but go to war against one another. Leafs vs Canadians... Canucks vs Oilers... you name it, the rivalries build up to name-calling and some very entertaining and funny spats. It's all part of a competitive nature.

And then there's concept. Maybe Neanderpaul's opinion is that N.Dakota is a hole. Why are you dismissive of another who shares his opinion but want to harass Neanderpaul about it? Tell everyone to stop (see where it gets you) or save the complaining for a comment that is really undisputably unacceptable.
