Since admins don't seem to answer Inbox messages around here, I'm putting this here in hopes of maybe getting a response.

Accused:

James Vazquez

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Bogus Warning

Game number(s):

None

Comments:

James received these screen shots and gave me a warning for "almost revealing personal info."

This one says "start weight 351" -
Image

This one was just some random funny text -
Image

I came nowhere close to revealing personal info, that was all I said and get a bogus warning for doing nothing wrong. :-k I'm a personal trainer, so talk about peoples weights frequently, so I might hit on someone's actual weight every now and then - how is that personal info? I didn't pair it with anyone's name on here.

You were given a warning for a potentially serious offense. Look up the word warning if you get a chance and write down the definition so you may retain the information.

So no warning and you'd complain noone explained the rule to you. Warning and your complaining that you didnt break one yet.

Yes complain and whine all ya like. Personal information is not to be posted without consent of owner. The seriousness of the offense warrants a strong action to make sure the party involved gets the point. Claiming innocence then stating your skirting the rule is contradictory so before ya shout from the rooftop FOUL!

Get your story straight.

James

Get what story straight? Where did I state I was skirting a rule? I randomly stated a weight of a potential client who's not even on here and didn't mention a name, so don't understand how that's posting personal info?

I just don't get how from those two screenshots how I was giving out personal info.

so James you are saying that someone here is actually 351 pounds and was offended because they thought I would reveal their weight, when I have no clue how much people here weigh? I don't have a crystal ball.

Funny how some people ask for rules, than complained when the new rules are inforced.

...Who the hell says "bogus" anymore?

I would have rather used a better adjective like shit, but figured that wouldn't go over well. Regardless this isn't about my choice of adjectives.

Oh, whatever...you're one of the biggest assholes on this entire site, so you've got no room to be calling foul on anything. And the administration of Conquer Club couldn't give a rat's ass about personal information being used. Hell, I received a threat to my personal safety and they did nothing about it.

Jim is one of the nicest guys on cc and if you followed the correct procedures then the "threat" would have been dealt with. CC admin do give a "rat's ass" as you so eloquently put it, which is why users get warned and banned for revealing said personal information.

Jayde, a chat moderator gave you a warning for a post in chat. The warning was not excessive or bogus in the least. Posting personal information is against the CC guidelines and JV felt that you were getting precipitously close revealing personal information. Please refrain from that in the future and you will not receive any more warnings for it. Marked [Settled].

You mean that the correct procedure is NOT to speak directly with lackattack and two other administrators? Because I certainly would think that would be the correct procedure. And sadly, they didn't give a rat's ass about my personal safety, given the direct threat to it. Which goes far above "revealing personal information".

Sadly, they're too stupid to get your point, hecter. They don't recognize how ludicrous it was for her statement to be considered "personal information" given that there was no "person" attached to it.

Darnit all, you got me - my other account is MrMoody, please bust us.

And lance, no way in hell is this "settled" because I don't see you listed as an Admin. No way in hell was what I posted personal info, or even close to it, so either move this back to the non-closed section and get an admin to answer it, or I'll make another thread.

I've read the forum guidelines - complaints about a mod's ruling go to ADMIN, not lance. Make it so.

It does seem a bit ludicrous. It's none of my business though, I'm just really bored so typing here is something to do.

It's like the time recently I got asked for an ID to purchase cigarettes. Now where I live you only have to be 18 years or older
to legally buy smokes. I am over 40 years old. While I like to think I've still retained a bit of youthfulness, I cannot reasonably believe that any non mentally impaired adult would have any doubt that I am at least 18 years or older. No way. My hair started turning gray in my 20's and I gave up on the dye and what not ten years ago. I have that middle age look.
So I figured she has to type in a birthday or something to get the register to process the transaction. I tell her my birthday and she still wants to see the ID. No problem, I'm easy to get along with, I produce my ID.
I couldn't help but ask her though, in a cheerful, friendly manner why she needed to see my ID, when it's obvious without doubt that I am over 18. She said that the law required her to check everyone's ID. Now it was late at night and there were no other customers waiting or anything so I attempted to chat with her about this. I explained that the law only required that you not sell cigarettes to anyone under 18, not that you see every persons ID that buys cigarettes. I swear, I was being good natured and friendly, and was really just trying to enlighten her in a way that would actually improve her life. She kinda went off slightly and had bad attitude as though I was being rude. Now I realize that a lot of 40+ year old people probably do get rude when some idiot demands to see an ID to buy smokes, so perhaps she was gun shy about it, and that caused her defensive attitude. Point is though, had she listened to my message, and understood what I was saying, she would no longer have to deal with those people because she wouldn't be foolishly demanding to see an ID when it wasn't necessary. She'd save herself and others, time and trouble. She would avoid conflicts from people that get all sensitive when an idiot makes them jump though a foolish hoop. Anyway, I deflected her attitude and remained positive and asked her one question. I asked, "If an old elderly man came to buy cigarettes would you want him to prove that he is over 18 too?" She said yes, everyone must show me their ID to buy smokes no matter how old they look. So I called her an idiot in my mind, not actually with spoken word, and gave up on trying to help her. The odd part about it too is that around here they really don't enforce the age limit on cigarette purchases except in some blatant situation. If it had been beer I was purchasing, it might have made more sense. The police actually get mature looking underage, undercover shoppers to go and attempt to buy alcohol in sting operations.
Still though, even given that, it would be foolish to ask an elderly man to prove he is over 18 or 21 as the case might be.

Some other person once said it this way, (I forget who it was or I would credit the quote). Foolish consistencies are the hobgoblins of little minds.

The world is full of people like that. I try to help them when I can, but they are usually not receptive to ideas and thinking. They prefer their foolish consistencies. What can you do about it? Beats me.

I think a few of you might have missed the point. jayde was a previously permabanned user coming back to the site using a second account to intentionally cause trouble. She has since been permabanned again. End of story.
