He trolls me all the time, whether it's in chat or the forums. Here's his latest effort.

He has managed to fill the entire first page of the thread with one complaint he repeats over and over, that I came up with a solution for in my first reply. He continued to the point that his suggestion was of the calibre that it would never even happen, and still I provide solution - the same solution. And he keeps replying to the thread with the same tired argument over and over.

By my reckoning, he's infringed these guidelines:

• Posts that add nothing to the current topic
• Posting the same thing over and over
• Being intentionally annoying
• Flame baiting
• Don't de-rail topics, don't spam them, don't flame them, don't bait them, don't drive a topic into a negative spiral

well, he pretty much just disagrees with you and was making a rational argument against your idea... i don't really see the problem. he responded to every post you made against his opposition to your idea. i generally agree with you e_i_pi_0h, but i think you are being sensitive on this one...-0

That's rational? That's not even disagreeing, that's stating his personal beliefs about his idea. It also added nothing to the idea, the quoting the giant text was pretty annoying and unnecessary, it was flaming e_i_pi's idea, as well as baiting him.

Keep in mind, a solution was made to his argument in my first reply. That solution is the same solution to every situation he brought up. Also keep in mind that every situation he brought up was exactly the same. He's trolling and attempting to derail the thread, it's plain as day.

I'm posting a suggestion in order to generate community discussion on ways the site could improve. A troll comes along and makes it his mission to derail the thread. This isn't about sensitivity, it's about having zero tolerance for the sort of person that contributes absolutely nothing.

This is exactly the reason demon has been on my foe list for months and months and (I think) I've never played against him. He is rather pathetic and doesn't belong on the forums.

edit: Not to mention df's blatant disregard for the rating system and abuse of opponents in game chat. There aren't many people around here that the site would be better off without, but he sure is one of them.

you pulled out one little flamish snippet... he had some very valid counter arguments to e_i_pi_Oh's idea... nowhere near enough for a warning (and nowhere near what you did to me in another thread in this very forum, kotaro, and i did not respond...)...-0

I've used the 'report post' button on at least two of his posts, but both got the "this report has been closed" response, with nothing done about him.

Just like with Live Chat, you do not buy forums when you buy premium. That membership is for unlimited games and speed games on this site. Forums are a privilege and they should not be abused.

He has accounted for about 40-50% of the posts in that thread, and is now not only baiting me, but 2 other posters as well.

The fact is, you foed me even though I had never played one game with you or had even one conversation with you! (which you let me know that you foed me in chat for what reason IDK, I would have never known otherwise)

If the truth be known, you are the one that continually harasses me in chat, even to to the point where I once said that " I Wished that the ignore feature worked in chat too" then you proceeded to flame me letting me know how stupid I was because I was ignorant to the fact that there in indeed an ignore feature in chat!

The fact is you at no time did you ever "cleanly" refute any of my problems with your suggestion, the fact remains that under you system a low ranked player would not be allowed to publicly host a game with a higher ranked player, A problem that lower rankers are already taking issue with!

forums and live chat are still one of the reasons a lot of people stick around here (and also buy premium)
and like me in live chat, he wasnt abusing but haters see what they want to see
