Is this cheating? [noted]

My buddy and I are playing team games with each other. Is it allowed for us to log in from the same computer as long as we are on the same team, and are not playing against each other in any game?

How do you play a team game against each other? Do you, each, have your own teams? Or, are you on the same team and you play together? Even if you were on the same team, you still have to wait for the other team's players to take their turns. That could take 24 hours, so I still can't see how that makes any sense either.

My understanding is that you're supposed to announce, in this forum, that you intend to have two players from the same IP address. I suggest that you (both) announce this before you get in trouble. Also, you need to clarify what it is that you're doing. This is based on what I have seen in the past.

What? You mean in a game everyone should first check this forum rather than game chat?

Nonsense. There are many at CC who don't play the game, who only use the forum. And that's ok. However, for those playing the game, stick to the game chat for any questions.

Seems to me that it would be nice to let your opponents know the facts of your playing from the same computer, and should be no problem whatsoever.

I may be wrong, but I see nothing wrong with this. That you ask proves you are scholars and gentlemen.

Nothing quite like an office quote. Send either myself or ScatAttack a PM any time - you can play us from the same computer. Hoo-rah!

Just put in an e-ticket stating the situation, that way it gets noted, and if anyone kicks up a stink later on, you have something to fall back on.

You'll be okay :)

Even if you were a multi I don't see the problem with having two accounts on one team...
I may be wrong with that, but there you go.

Sorry, I know this is changing the gist of this thread, but why would anyone be on this site and in this forum if they weren't playing the game? What could possibly interest anyone in the forums about CC if they weren't playing any games here? :?:

It's just such a bizarre statement, I had to ask.

Answering the first post, I see no problem with that.

This is noted but if there will be any future reports concerning the two of you (maximumbandit and ScatAttack) they are still subject for an investigation.
