Accused:
joon

The accused are suspected of:
Severe Chat Abuse

Game number(s):

Game # 3197658

Comments: Talk about making a game unenjoyable! This guy takes the cake for being an abusive jerk who has absolutely no grasp of reality or common sense. In all seriousness, this guy IS ruining my interest in the game, making me not even want to continue with it. I suspect I'm not the only one either. Nobody who treats people like this should be allowed to play, as far as I'm concerned.

I have already foe'd him, but that's really not the point. If he's going to be that abusive to not only myself but another member of this game with no provocation, then it's not going to be limited to just this game. Actions like that aren't likely to remain a one-time thing, but rather are a definite sign of a behavioral problem.

In fact, in reviewing his past feedbacks, it's very clearly NOT just a one-time thing at all. Repeated behavior.

Basically, we take a liberal stance on what is allowed to be said in game chat. If you find yourself in a game with someone who offends you, simply add the member in question to your foes list and his/her comments will disappear. This is one way to prevent people from getting provoked and make the game less enjoyable.

If more and more people puts you in their foes list, you will find this as a nuisance as this will create an obstacle in joining games, especially with people who have foe'd you and refuse to have a game with you. For now, this is noted for future reference.

I don't really have a problem with that policy...it seems like it would keep the most people happy, which is obviously (and should be) your goal.

However, I think this doesn't take into account the damage that may be being done to newbies who log in and are confronted with this sort of an asshole in one of their first couple of games, thus ruining any interest they may have in the site as a whole, rather than in just one game (like an experienced player might be). After all, they may well decide that the site is just full of assholes and not worth their time (and more importantly, their money).
