Dont really want to put this in suggestions as it is about this forum.

Just wondering why locking threads of recently busted players.
I wanted to rejoice to brutalfaggot bust but the thread was locked, im sure delboy wouldve love to rejoice too.

Switch them over to the closed disputes but why lock them?
What if we want to fight the decisions or simply party!!

It was agreed by admin, the hunters, and myself, that the closed threads should be locked. If anyone would like to add something significant or relevant to those threads they can send and etickit. This was put in place to cut down on some of the spam.

So please stop claiming that this site is community driven if we arent consulted beforehand. (not pointing fingers at you lancehoh)

Besides, even if someone spams closed cases, why would it matter, they are closed and dealt with.
And if there is no way to get you guys to change your decision, at least remove the reply button as we dont know which are locked or not. (some here are locked even though they werent moved)

This seemed like the best, most uniform way to deal with closed threads. If the community disagrees with this, I will bring it to the attention of the others.

I believe I fixed part of the problem with the Closed Reports subforum. As of this post, (12:43 am eastern time) all of the threads in Closed Reports show the locked symbol and all of the threads will not allow you to reply. This was a quick fix, but can be reimplemented, I will try to get a permanent solution put in place. Also, I believe the only threads in this forum are open reports or shadows (ie no locked threads).

Just wanted to let you all know that the closed reports forum has changed. The reports on the first page will be allowed to remain open until one of the following:
a) the thread has fallen off of the first page
b) there have been no comments in the thread for 5 days
c) a mod has deemed that discussion has reached a conclusion

and also, they seem to delete the posts of people's multiple accounts as well. seeing as those are the only ones i enjoy reading, why would they do such a thing?

Those posts are not deleted. Some repeat offenders have their posts moved to where they cannot be accessed (if you are lucky enough to be on before they are banned, watch their post count, it never changes).

LOL, says the guy who joined today, has played one game and has worked out how to add an avtar to his account. I especially love the 'they seem to delete the posts of people's multiple accounts as well. seeing as those are the only ones i enjoy reading' comment. Interesting since you have only been an account holder for 47 seconds!!!!

I wonder which previously banned player you are?

Given the level of written venom I had to take from Bm I was looking forward to posting a comment on the thread. Also, the level of work that I had put into it as well.

One thing I wanted to ask was that I reported a number of other players both in the thread and via e-ticket. All of these players have also gone. Therefore, it would suggest that they were indeed multi's but we have had no indication as to who these accounts were linked to.

For example, I reported warmachine129 via e-ticket. That account has gone but I don't know if my theory about who the account belonged to was correct.

As for rejoicing, I am pleased that the site members do not have to put up with the cheating and verbal abuse that brutalmaggot dished out. But i'm sure he will be back. I am also please about the others that were found to have been associated with this bust as one of my comments was when I asserted that I suspected that a number of others were involved as well. All of those found out to be connected were on my list.

I am supprised that those that have survived have not had a score reset as well.

Delboy, when you click on them and you get THIS USER DOESNT EXIST (or whatever) it doesnt mean they are gone, it means they were ONLY BANNED from the forums.
Well. I might be wrong as it may say this when they are canned as well but IT DOES say that when a player get a temporary ban from theforums.
A pretty lame system IMO because many of the banned I would like to add to my foe list but I cant cuz I cannot access their profile while they are temporary suspended from the forums...

That's much, much better.
But I would make it 7 days, if possible and hopefully have C) removed as it could lead to wrongful decisions from mods/hunters.
