#2233413 -- Dark Rabbit & Jmajewski777 -- what do you think?

~Please observe the above game w/o comment -- don't want to tip off potential suspects~

Just check out the game linked above and tell me what you think about Dark Rabbit and Jmajewski777 based on how both have played. I'll hold off taking my turn until the last minute (4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, USA) to keep things as they are. Read the in-game comments to get an idea of what I'm talking about -- it looks like those two might be, er, playing "strangely" if not cheating. This is not an official accusation; I'm just starting a routine investigation.

It seems odd when one player does not take advantage of a neighboring player's under-guarded border to disrupt said enemy player's +8 continental bonus -- J7 had 1 army on R3 while DR had 4 on G2 last round, and yet DR did not attack and J7 did not reinforce. That just smacks of poor play or cheating to me; hopefully the former. [-X

I think the fact that you sent the other player (yellow) a private message asking yellow to attack slate will get you in more trouble than yellow's strategy, which may be poor, but is still a viable strategy.

I'm sorry - but I can't see how there is anything to this accusation. Firstly, this is the first game these two have ever played together, so there's no pattern. Second, leaving borders undefended and not electing to break a bonus (even a big one) in a multi-player game is valid strategy. In some cases, you do so to signal to the other player that you don't want hostility there at this time. More often, you do it to force a third or fourth player to blow his armies breaking the bonus. Either way, it's not cheating without a lot more evidence.

On the other hand, sending game related PMs during the game is a serious no no. I put people who do that on my ignore list - it's cheating

Hmm....following is the private msg I sent to Dark Rabbit that started this whole thing; tell me if it looks like it's "cheating" or not:

You have 4 armies on G2. Jmajewski777 (silver) has 1 army on R3. You totally should have sniped him out there at his weak point.

Because you failed to disrupt his bonus for holding the entire Red Mountain, Silver now gets +8 bonus armies (plus territory count). Silver will now win the game

#-o

Thank you for giving the game to silver; you might have won had you attacked R3.
