Accused:

The accused are suspected of:
  • Having a secret alliance

Game number(s):

    Comments:
First of all I apologize if this is nothing, but it just looked suspicious. Bluenose and On the Nose have played in over 900 standard, 6 player games together on the classic map. Of those 900+ they have won about 40% between the two of them. That seemed like a very high percentage of wins in standard games. It also seems strange because in almost every game Bluenose started the game in the first position and On the Nose joined in the second position, just like you would do if you were setting up doubles, triples or quads with teammates. I thought it might need to be checked into.

I have noticed this as well. I play a lot of classic, and these two are consistently beginning games in the same position. That being said, I've never felt that anything suspicious was happening during the games. It could be nothing.

i find it odd that a player named bluenose is from the UK, while the first response to this thread (and the second too) came from a true Bluenoser.

I've also noticed both of these players as I recently joined a game with both and have played many other games in the past with them. It is curious that they are often in the same order and their names are similar. However, I've looked for any abnormal behavior and have not noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Maybe they are friends that like to play in the same games. However, it's no coincidence that they have played 900+ games together and that they join in the same order. I would be interested in hearing an explanation.

Again, I have noticed no wrong doing but my curiosity has been peaked.

    My two cents:

I have played in many games with both, as well as one or the other...2 separate good players. Definitely not multi's. I am currently in a game with MillerTime and MT man, and there is another millertime317 registered on the site...similar names but no cheating.

The classic map standard ecsalator games you were referring to usually contain the same group of players, because we all enjoy the map and settings...and Onthenose usually carries a batch of British Isles, std esc games now.

I'll back this up as well, I've played a fair number with them and haven;t noticed anything...wasn;t particularly looking either however.

=D> It's all like OTN said really, I prefer 5 or 6 player classic, seq, esc, unlimited & sunshine.

Sad maybe but that's how it is, I enjoy good battles, OTN gives them. On many occassions even you Yanks are winning :o but hey, get over it.

How strange that i post this straight after On the nose

If anybody cares enough, i joined many games as 2nd player with DirtyDishSoap (Yank) on the same format.

Oh & i hade a thing once for Circus Maximus 2nd player to Klobber.

Finally i like to play against certain players, now if that's a crime then shoot me :P

Well, since this is settled, let's play a classic escalating game with all of the posters in this thread. I think we've all played each other a few times anyway.

(nice to see some atlantic canadians out there, even if one of them is a newf)

I can vouch for Bluenose, in all the games i have played with the man in no way has he ever tried to even ask for an alliance or indicate that another player was working with him "secretly"

This also applies to On the Nose. Being that i played with both of them ALOT.
