Bulling someone into a truce

I'm in a 4 player game, with 3 remaining, and green says to blue (who do not have an alliance or even spoken for that matter) this...

blue dont just attack me since what happened in the other game

1) What does that mean?

2) Is this against the rules, cause it's something that happen outside of the game the 3 of us are in?

I don't see anything wrong. It is almost like a truce proposal

edit; unless they are helping each other in alternate games.

Doing a little research, it appears to be a threat. Carmoil and xfatalassassinx played each other. In that game carmoil attack xfatalassassinx and in the game chat said this:

"okay blue u get to win since green attacked me"

This is the feedback left by carmoil in his feedback area:

Negative
He made me lose the game because I took back Central America to get the NA bonus. A direct quote: "okay blue u get to win since green attacked me" And we didn't have a truce on that or any other territory, excpt for him saying: "green if u attack me agian i am not stopping blue form taking all of asia" I then attacked, as was the most benificial move for me to make at the time, and he let blue get the Asia bonus, which was a stupid move, but didn't really bother me. It was later that he arbitrarily brought up again the fact that I had attacked him, and he was going to give the win to blue.

So it looks like xfatalassassinx is telling carmoil not to attack him, or he will let me win, like he did in the other game for blue.

This has to be cheating or against the rules.

Ok, now he just told carmoil to leave him alone or he's gonna throw the game to me. He is threating to throw the game, unless carmoil joins a forced alliance. This has to against the rules. He put all his men in iceland leaving south europe with only 1 army.

The only way I can put a stop to this is try and get carmoil to join me in an alliance against him.

I've seen the 'throwing the game' tactic used before in various revenge games. Many don't agree with how certain people play their games, but in the end it's their choice to throw the game. It could ruin the game for everyone, or perhaps do nothing at all, but it really just comes down to someone's tactics and how they may appear unfavorable to some.

As for it being against the rules, it might be only against the 'unwritten' rules, which basically state 'Play in the game as you would want your opponent to play', I.E. you wouldn't want your opponent throwing the game, resulting in a loss that could have been a win.

Perhaps the best route is to go to the familiar Flame Wars forum, and post about how you (and perhaps others) dislike such game tactics.

There is also the option for negative feedback, and your ignore list.
