sigh, tis an old story, yet one nobody seems to want to accept. I'll give the short version.
Hello. My name is (you guys can call me beast, I havent given my name to CC). I am a business student at the College of the North Atlantic campus, I captain our college's football and Soccer teams, and I wrestle as a hobby. I work 2 jobs, one being a retail convenience store employee and another being a bilingual translater (english to french and french to english)
When I'm not in class, out with friends or playing sports I'm likely in a dorm studying, and of course, playing some friendly online risk. In my dorm I have some room-mates (naturally, you know, thats how it goes). Fans of Risk that they are (although not too talented I assure you), They like playing games as well. At one point they tried playing seperate accounts. They played against each other and against CC community members, only to be accused of multing.
So what then? They were declared innocent after the investigation and to avoid problems I've agreed to allow them to play games on my account. I've gone over specifications and such with members in authority and I can assure you there is no illegal activity taking place. They've got their own accounts they can play with sure, but they are sick of being accused of multing and dont want to be overly limited on who they can play and whatnot, some of it doesnt even make sense to me. But If they want to play games on my account (possible because I've recieved a premium gift), I allow them to. I enjoy my time on this site, and so do they.
Now, some basic facts please...
My room-mates are individuals. They have lives, they are studying, have jobs, have hobbies and enjoy playing this game.
Whether or not a player is winning has nothing to do with who it is. If I'm playing the game and losing, then I'm losing. If my room-mates are playing a game and losing, they're losing. If you want to know who your playing... ask.
"Hey, just wondering, is this Beast playing the game or Dave or Zach or who?"
Its not that difficult.
Finally...
I (and my room-mates) Have little to nothing to prove.
I'm sorry, I know it hurts but I have no reason to lie about anything. They have no reason to lie. This is an online game for amusement. We follow the rules, we (well I, anyway, the others are comming along
![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
) play well and enjoy the game.
When they play seperate their accused of multing, when they play on just my account their told they dont exist. There is just no way the community is respecting them at all outside of the mods and higher up members who are acknowledging their patience and support and are doing everything possible to help them feel welcome. Maybe instead of getting irritated that you played my room-mate you could just treat them with the same respect you'd treat anyone else?
My room-mates do not deserve the disrespect of people saying "they dont exist" they dont deserve the blatant insults. Frankly neither do I. I am a competitive individual and I admit I like to excel at everything I try. This game is no different, nor is Chess. Its about matching my intellect vs the intellect of my opponent(s).
I've tried to get my room-mates to get in the habit of alerting players when they play and sometimes they do, I dont know if most of the time it just slips their mind and they just play the game and leave but I make a point of having players know when their playing me. I get inside heads and I taunt and I outplay and I just disect my opponents
I dont feel the need to prove anything and I just feel sorry for my room-mates that they come here expecting to play against mature players from a worldwide base and they get treated like trash by people easily mistaken for 5 year olds. Its not necessary, its not acceptable and to me it just demonstrates a lack of maturity. If you have an issue with me, beat me ingame. Otherwise I'm not interested in hearing pointless babble.
PS: hwrett(or whatever) I have never said I've never lost. I've lost quite a bit of team games and I've even gone on record for losing 9 singles games sense joining CC. I've played about 500 of the games (maybe just over now) on my account and I've had a great time. I'm looking to see someone step up in CC with a 95% win rate. I would love to see it and maybe I'd build up some sort of tizzie for that game lol. I have yet to see someone who's played 500 games and only 9 singles losses, I'll continue to look tho.
