Retaliatory Posting My @$$ [eTicket issue]

So, specifics aside, I had a bad game against an opponent that I didn't like. The two of us got into it a bit in the chat and after the game ended he left me negative feedback. I read his feedback, commented and then left him a negative feedback of my own. His was crass and rude and mine was literally "Poor attitude - except when he's winning. Avoid."

Now let me emphasize that I had every intention of leaving this exact comment with him even if he had, for some reason, left me a positive.

However, I just signed on to a message from the admin explaining that my feedback had been deemed "inappropriate and has been deleted" due to the fact that it was "retaliatory feedback".

Bull.

Because he happened to be the one to leave the neg feedback first means I'm not allowed to say how I feel?

I had a bad experience with this player and I want other people to know it. That he feels the same about me and posted as such first is just the way it is. I don't care that he left me a negative. I'm sure he enjoyed our game just as much as I did - which is to say very little. And I'm fine with him saying so in his feedback. That's what it's there for. But to disallow me the opportunity to do the same simply on the merits of "first one here is the good guy" is sheer stupidity.

I get where you're coming from, not wanting people to use the feedback system as a weapon. But this is a bit much. The only other feedback system I've ever encountered (ebay) has no such stipulations and gets along just fine.

It's time to rip this one from the rule books.

As an aside, I really wanted to take this up with an admin directly and in private, however the message I received was auto generated and did not allow for a response.

I still want to leave a negative feedback for this opponent. Is there a change tot he content that I can make or am I simply not allowed to leave a negative at all because he did so first?

Edit: It looks as though the feedback he left for me has been removed as well. That's better than I thought. However, I still think there was no reason to have either of them removed. We both expressed how we felt and are even given the opportunity to craft a response to the neg feedback that was left for us. What's wrong with that?

I don't want to plead a case though. I want the negative feedback I left for him to stand as well as the negative feedback he left for me. And I want this silly rule done away with entirely.

I guess that is a 'case'. But I'm definitely not trying to whine about how I'm right and the other guy is wrong.

As it stands, this part of the system is just used by people as a catch-all to have feedback they don't like removed from their profiles.

I hope I havn't been so unclear... Feedback is a worthwhile system. This particular part of it, however, is not.

Ticket sent.

Yeah. But he wants to do away with Feedback entirely. I think just a part of it is mesed up.
