Yes, I originally made a mistake in May and blocked CrimsonDeath, Aces, Selma, and wilderbeast. The next day I changed my mind and cleared them, but I understand that you guys have suffered through the residual effects of being suspected cheaters.
wilderbeast: Thank you for your excellent explanation, and for staying reasonable instead of becoming overly defensive as most players do. I hope you don't take Genghis Khan's accusation personally, because he is a very understanding guy and I bet he can see where you are coming from now that you responded. He has a brother on this site and I'm sure faces the same accusations from time to time that you do.
All names in question are
cleared of being multis.
As for multiple people sharing a premium account: It's a pretty unique situation, I think I only encountered it once before. As far as I know there is no official ruling on whether thats allowed. We would prefer that each player has their own account because sharing can lead to confusing situations like this one. To be honest though, I can't see any way to enforce such a rule. And since the "real" wilderbeast and others are sharing an account to avoid being accused of cheating (and not the more sinister motive of playing more free games) I see no problems with it. I would just like to ask CrimsonDeath and any others who are sharing the wilderbeast account to only play 4 games at a time as you would normally be restricted to. Playing more than 4 games would be taking advantage of me trying to help you guys, so I'd like to believe you can be trusted in that regard.
wilderbeast wrote:Because we all play from the same computer the accusations will come, no matter how confidantly I've been told: "Oh myself and my friend play from the same computer, its not against the rules they can still have their own accounts" I am sure accusations will fly.
To be honest, I am glad that I have no roommates/family/friends that play on this site. I've had to defend myself from secret alliance allegations with a person I have never met or talked to in any form other than game chat and forum posts. So I know how frustrating such a situation can be, and it would be much harder if you were actually sharing a computer!
So while we allow people from the same computer to play games together, I never recommend it if the person is worried about cheating accusations. The unfortunate truth is that people who need to share a computer have a very difficult time proving that they are honest because there are so many people who
are willing to cheat.
Thanks again for being understand wilderbeast, and thanks for the detailed report GKCA. Reporting and clearing people is one of the principle functions of this forum.
Man I'm wordy tonight!!
