Craig25 [IP]

I hurt his poor little feelings and he is blocking my entry into a public tournament.

I just paid my $31 annual subscription last week which gives me the right to join any public tournament I'm eligible for.

Even though it is a community ran tournament, it is still open to all eligible players.

A TO should not be able to stop entry to a player just because they dont like them

There are no site rules being broken or preventing him from prohibiting him from doing so.

I know a number of TO’s (including myself) have utilized tournament black lists based on foe lists or past tournament behavior preventing entry to help facilitate a smooth tournament.

The Tournament Department has allowed such in the past (they state specifically that 50% of the tournament must be public sign ups, not that all entries must be accepted)

But if you wish to change that, the change would be thru shoop76 and the other TD’s.

Craig25 in this instance however is cleared of breaking any site rules.

How is that right?

I pay my annual dues, so I should be able to join any public tournament I am eligible for.

How is my participation going to hinder a smooth tournament?

Tournament Organizers have always been allowed to do that for as long as I can remember. As I’ve indicated above my own tournaments have utilized this in the past. AFAIK as long as it’s posted in sign ups it’s fine w TD’s.

I don’t know why you specifically weren’t allowed entry. But in general People can be disruptive, hard to get to accepted games, argumentative, bad at responding, won previous versions, have a beef with a user and trying to actively avoid drama etc and all of those have been deemed ok to bar entry into a tournament.

So instead of apologising and offering an olive branch. You insult him again by saying that "You hurt his poor little feelings" and instead call on the admins to make him let you join.

You reap what you sow.

A TO has the right to refuse entry to their tournament. However, we generally like to see a reason for it, although that is technically not necessary. In this case we feel it was, because we offer credits for this tournament. We asked Craig and he feels that xroads insulted him. We deem that a good enough reason.

The Super League is a public tournament run by a CC member, not by CC itself, so it has nothing to do with paying CC membership.
