Accused: Thorhoth admits in chat that I am not his target in an assassin game and he has me cornered, not killing me and not doing much of anything except complaining about mods in chat. Ban his ass already.

Comments: I can count on one hand how many times I've bothered to report someone for abuse, but in an assassin game it's pretty dumb to corner someone like this and then not do anything - especially because he/she is just mad about punishment elsewhere on the site.

In an assassin game if a player is taken out, the person targeting them automatically wins even if they weren't the one to get the kill. If Thorthoth kills you and you are not his target, he loses.

I'm aware of how assassin games work, but I appreciate the explanation.

Read the chat. He says he specifically attacked me as a boycott against the site's moderators.

More seriously, I'm not holding you hostage for any personal or political reason. What I am doing is preventing you from taking a territory and a card for reasons strictly related to in-game strategy.

Then you should be perfectly aware that "holding someone hostage" is a pretty hard claim to prove in assassin, since it's perfectly plausible that a player could keep you narrowed down to a single territory to prevent you from fighting him, yet not kill you as to avoid losing. I think that in this particular case Thorthoth narrowed you down for a reason other than you being a threat to him, but holding you hostage is not a valid thing to accuse him of in this context now that we have gotten to this point.

Read C&A. Thorthoth has been posting that same screed even in games he's not playing in. It has nothing to do with you personally.

He was guested for like two days and in my opinion it should be much longer, but my opinion carries little weight.

Always puzzles me when people who can't accept a punishment gracefully sit around nattering about it and draw themselves a larger punishment.

Mods on CC are just volunteers and can't be held to as high a standard as professionals could, but in this case looks like they acted pretty professionally. Now, if we take Major League Baseball as the gold standard of professional officiating, here's some of the rules that cover taking a punishment gracefully:

That's the way games are run in the professional world. If you aren't sensible enough to accept a call with good grace, your ass gets tossed out.

Your spamming of people's game chats is NOTHING like the ride of Paul Revere. It's more like the ride of Paulatpeace. It is just a case of a spoiled little boy whose parents were too permissive and didn't teach him to accept that their rulings are final, and now he's out in the real world and can't accept umpires' rulings without throwing a tantrum.

All tyrants demand that their decisions be final, until the people declare otherwise.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Red is still being held prisoner but now Green has taken offer as jailer. Does this stupid C&A case now transfer to the new 'defendant'?

BTW, this is all happening in a still-active game, with fog. If anyone should be declared unsporting (& a poor player) it would be angola

I suspect that my notoriety unrelated to the case may be prejudicing the judge, jury, or biased, distracted & ill-informed mod that decides these kangaroo court proceedings...

In hindsight, this was a poor C&A report by me. I still foed the clown who thinks free speech applies to forum posting at Conquer Club.

Thorthoth isn't here to contribute positively in any sort of way for anyone. You can't even compare him to Paulatpeace because at least Paul impacted other players in some sort of positive light. Thor hasn't. He's a nuisance. He knows he's a nuisance. He's doing whatever he can to get permabanned from a site that he no longer enjoys, and he's going to do what he can to piss off every CC member he can along the way.

In all fairness, he's also made a pretty substantial contribution to trying to revive the moribund Forum Games subforum. (... and before you ask, no it does not consist entirely in necrobumping old games, he makes legitimate attempts to get them on track, and he tries in GC to publicize them.)

If it turns out that TT has you as a target, you MAY have a case... but still unlikely

Sounds like blatant game throwing to me. TT knows what his opponent needs to do to win, and is deliberately stopping him from doing it. Talk about fixing results.
