Well actually you can. I mean, I am not a C&A mod, so it's only as far as I understand the rule. But I have followed quite closely all the deadbeating C&A thread previously.
In one of them, this is king achilles last answer :
king achilles wrote:Please stop making a circus out of the C&A forum. I know some of you insist that deadbeating is the only way to end a lost cause in poly trench games and you think that it should be the norm because some of you have already been doing it for some time. I have no qualms if both parties are okay with it and neither of the players is complaining about the game. Nevertheless, that still does not mean this system of intentional deadbeating is condoned. It is still in the rules not to intentionally deadbeat and definitely no one should make a habit out of it. The player has his rights to make a report if the other player is deadbeating intentionally.
If both players involved are fine with one leaving the poly trench game, then we'll consider it a closed case. However, if one party does not approve of the intentional deadbeating, then the other player must play the game. If you give out reasons like you suddenly lost connection coincidentally when you were losing, this is highly questionable and will not be accepted. Just play the game out and lose graciously. The game is not only about you so let's also respect the people we are playing with regardless of how the game is set.
So if you are playing someone, that someone isn't supposed to just leave the game.

I really think that's irrelevant to the case. But just for the discussion, I'll reply.
I think I told you in the resign button topic already, but not sure. The thing is, yes deadbeating trench speed game is / was a widely accepted practice. But then it get out of hand, and nowadays you have people deadbeating no-trench speed games and people deadbeating 24h trench games - which I don't think it is ok.
Now, this is my view on the matter, before the resign button :
Deadbeating a speed trench game : I can understand
Deadbeating any speed games : no !
Deadbeating a 24h-trench games : no way.
The site view on the matter is : deadbeating any kind of games is against the rule.
I'll also add, it happens that people deadbeat speed trench game even though you can take obj in one round, therefore finishing the game in 2, or they start deadbeating while they only have 3-4 territories remaining ( so it'll be way faster to play the game), which is quite against the spirit.
As I said, I want people to stop deadbeating all the times. I am assuming many speed players think it is within the rule to deadbeat. How am I to tell them to stop deadbeating ? For most of the people I met in the last week, I told them in the chat, I put a message on their wall, and they came back and finished the game. This one here, ignored all ( I also put a message on his wall as well of course). He didn't care. And he was still online apparently ( from his wall ).
So maybe he doesn't know the rule, then getting him a warning will make him aware that deadbeating isn't accepted and he'll stop, end of the story.Or he knows the rule but he doesn't care, then he also deserves a warning and next time a 1 month ban.
