Comments: Bigotry in game Chat. Not saying Pixar wasn't trash talking but I don't think the comments he made in English and in Greek are appropriate. If this is acceptable talk please disregard this post, I've seen warnings given in live chat for similar things though.

I don't believe "faggot" is a allowed word due to bigotry rules. Also roughly translated the Greek means "I f***ed your mom". There's more chat but this is the heart of the report so I won't post any more in here. I understand he was frustrated with how the game was going, but bigotry is not tolerated on CC as far as I know. I expect he just needs to be informed it's not.

Surely his comments would mean a warning. I mean he is currently playing other games, several with me and now those games are ruined because of someone's opinion of some ones opinion in the heat of the moment. Now it ruins my games and I thought the philosophy of cc was fair play? Im not saying what cssemi said was right but surely a warning would suffice the situation?

WoW, 1 warning is enough... But really? Kids are called "this" word in schools everyday, without trouble. How can you honestly ban someone permanently after 3 times... That is too harsh, plus this guy has paid for his premium maybe 1 or 2 times maybe more. I know that standards must be set to prevent this behavior, because bigotry is no excuse and intolerable, but, does it really have to be ban-able after 3 shots???

Give these guys some time to heal themselves and think about their mistakes. Plus, this site could earn some extra money from an existing premium account that is stripped. The stripping process, might make them just quit the site anyway. I dont see why this scale is so harsh, it is almost unreasonable. If people get their feelings hurt about other offensive comments that are non-punishable, then what is the difference with bigotry?

Anyone who has ever gotten a warning would know that we tend to identify what will happen the next time you do something of the sort. So, in his first warning he would have been told he gets a month ban next time. Then, in his month ban message, he would have gotten a message saying next time is permanent. If he chose to ignore it, why give him any more of a grace period?

I personally think people need to develop thicker skin regarding game chat. Just ignore it, or foe the offender and move on. Are you people really that insecure that an insult from a faceless stranger on the intertronz hurts your wittle feelings?

I see this stuff all the time, it's not worth crying to the mods about. Quit being a baby. This game is about competition and domination. When I hear those words I do not think rainbows and unicorns.

you couldnt really call it bigotry, it was not personal just heat of the moment, Iv seen far worse in games yet I dont report just foe, its not worth your time reporting just choose not to speak to him,

If you're going to post something at least let it be pertinent. Sarcasm is neither wanted nor welcome here.

As for language, our approach is very lax. But when you cross the line into homophobia, whether it is heated in the moment or not, then it is bigotry. Same goes with racism. You want to call someone an asshole in game? I would tell them to FAMO. Same goes with all swearing. But as soon as you bring into play any kind of prejudice that is when this rule kicks in. Speak as aggressively as you like as long as it falls within the rules. If not, warning, then month long ban, then permaban. If you trolls can't understand that then maybe you might want to just refrain from talking at all. It would be a nice break.

If you feel like asking any more sarcastic questions, do so somewhere else. I'm locking this thread.
