These are suspected Multis or maybe a robot

Suspect users: <straightwist>

Game number: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=381882

Comments: <talks kinda like a robot or something and talked about having bad rolls in all his other games and now the stored up luck is "turning around". He's a new recruite though so that makes no sense. Maybe I'm wrong and he's just a big weirdo though.>

This really is just crazy. I'll just defend the accusations I guess but I feel silly doing it, I feel like I'm on trial in the great purge of Stalin. This is an unpleasant result of my first game on Conquer Club Lifeless, you're better than this.

-Suspected Multi:
Multi with who? There was nobody in that game that played "on my side" - all three of you even ganged up on me actively (which was the right thing to do of course, I was really starting to gain some power by that stage).
My personal thoughts are that there's no fun in winning if you cheat. Games are about testing yourself against others and having fun - cheating robs you of both. It's hollow and pointless, so I don't do it - I want real satisfaction, that's the good stuff.

-Talks like a robot:
I don't know why Lifeless thinks this, I am guessing because I type full words/sentences and use all punctuation. I'm a professional typist (I type 95wpm) so it's just natural to type in full for me. If Lifeless means because of the words I use (that I "speak" like a robot) then all I can say is that I speak as I speak. It's a little formal, but you are who you are.

-Spoke about bad rolls in other games:
This is the exact quote: "I normally get terrible rolls - looks like all the stored up luck's come in at once."
I play "Risk II" by Microprose on my computer - I've had this for years and love the game. This is what I was talking about - I pointed that out a couple of minutes later in the game.
Talking about bad rolls, if you play Microprose Risk II and feel that you get bad rolls, I've researched the net (after tearing my hair out) and it is suggested in a number of places that the dice numbers are not from a "Random generator" but actually a cycle through 1-6 that stops when you click 'roll'. So patterns are feasible. I don't know if this is true, after all we tend to remember the bad rolls but quickly forget the joy of a bunch of good rolls. But it's an interesting theory about Microprose Risk II.

-Maybe I'm wrong and he's just a big weirdo though
Here's the real issue - I absolutely stomped that game, made a mess of Lifeless. It was partially because of fortunate rolling, partially from a good plan, and partially because Lifeless and ffgamer9 played poorly early in the game, extending themselves beyond their defensive abilities. For a lieutenant, Lifeless played poorly and this response is childish, just a distraction for himself from his loss against a "newbie" (I've been playing Microprose Risk II for years so I don't think this "newbie" title is very representative of my skill).

I hope this puts your mind at ease Lifeless, feel free to play me again anytime - you stand a good chance, I did get great rolls in that game but I'm a decent player. You're obviously talented so it will be good fun.

Cheers mate,

Nick (straightwist)

PS - Anyone please feel free to comment on this.

I would normally agree with the "multi with who?" sentiment since he only listed one name. However straightwist knows the answer to that question as well as anyone.

straightwist is Busted with movieapple, T7, and GregSeaweed

It was a nice long essay though

Yep, fair enough.

I caught the Conquer Club disease, no doubt about it - broke rule #1 - I apologise. To clarify:

- At the time of the game mentioned above, I only had one account 'straightwist'. The accusations were absolutely unfounded as I only had one account and was definately human (even though multi reality eventually caught up with Lifeless's made-up fantasy).

- Then I caught the disease, Conquer Club is so much fun I wanted more, MORE, MORE!!! I figured "If I never cheat by playing more than one person in a game, then what's the harm?". Like I said above, cheating takes the fun away.

- Of course, the harm is that I'm using more system resources than I'm entitled to, which isn't fair. I didn't consider that at the time and I apologise. I should have taken a premium membership but was struggling financially, and the want of more games overtook me.

- Took a second membership so I could play 8 games. Then a third so I could play 12 games. Then a fourth so I could play 16 games. I needed CCA (Conquer Club Anonymous) because I wanted to play so much.

- Well, today I paid for a premium membership (only cost $25 Australian) and I can play all I want under my name T7. I'm really glad I did - I can play all the games I want and I'm financially supporting the makers of this awesome website. Thanks guys.

So that's my story. I apologise, but I want to emphasise that at no time did I play more than one person in a game.

I hope you all can accept my apology. Feel free to come and bash me, a paying premium member, in a game if it makes everyone feel better. I've set up a few "Bash T7" games specifically for this purpose. Come join!
