No comments or anything? He did not attack for 4 rounds, not really holding hostage.

You're just analy hurt because someone below a Lieutenant beat you at your own settings. Go cry in a corner or something, I'm tired of seeing you post ridiculous C&A cases when you LOSE A GAME.

b00060, you find multis's damn good.

But this one it looks like you let your emotions at the loss, override clear thought.

Looking at the chat, he wanted to make damn sure he had you in one roll and not weaken up so you might get good dice and get loose.

Yea taking the bonus rubbed you wrong, But he was playing cautious and smart.

He had a brig. on the line.

I really dont blame him for the smart playing against you.

And by talking to him the way you did,he actually seems to have ended it alot quicker than some would have.

Just an opinion,we all have them of course.

what a load of bull carp you obviously do not know trench setting very well. b006000 did not have anyway back into the game and for them 3-4 rounds he did not attack so yes this could be classed as a hostage situation i can count 5 rounds he did not attack 1 region to kill the game off but somehow he has 130 troups left surronding the area he attacked.

ps the game chat happened after stanten was messing around delaying the game.

LOL eddie I usually make sure of what I am saying before I do so.

I think you have misread something or your computer is showing the wrong time stamps as to what occurred when.Check it again,as I did.

4 rounds David staten did not attack,b00060 gets on him at 1329. round 9 1334 staten attacks. round 10 staten attacks,b00060 is escalating his comments as david tells him he is playing it safe. So rounds 11-14 staten did not attack after he was verbally abused.

Eddie you usually do better than this.

Most other players would have waited and really drawn it out. 4 rounds in a freestyle speed is not that long.

all things considered, two wrongs does not make a right.

And what I said above is my opinion. We all have them.

mate i did read the log this is where the first comment happened.
2012-06-08 19:32:46 - David Staten received 2 troops for holding Oceania
2012-06-08 19:32:46 - David Staten received 3 troops for holding Africa
2012-06-08 19:32:46 - David Staten received 8 troops for 25 regions

2012-06-08 19:33:43 - b00060: and you take another bonus, wjhat an asshole

sorry game was over for trench style at this point there was no comeback at round 9 so to spread that out to round 15 is a joke and a extra 30 mins. in a game that should of been finished in 10 max

Matter of perspective Eddie game is never over until opposing players are eliminated.

Or if it me thats down,it aint over until you take my last troop.

I might have been with ya until I read... 2012-06-08 13:35:59 - b00060: fine you want to f*ck around instead of killing me you can sit and go f*ck yourself

If someone I was playing typed this, I'm certainly not gonna rush to finish the game up...

I see, I guess having a 165 men to 1 cornered for 7 rounds in a 20 game limit was playing it safe? Look at the final board, he had my single pinned in with over 130 men and I had a single and he would not kill me. Sorry, but if you defend that kind of play, then I hope others play you like that.

You instigated in the first place.

And 4 rounds of not attacking is not holding hostage.

there's no love loss between b00 and myself, of course he has me foed... lol... that said, I'm not sure why when he reports someone that everyone just goes into a flaming/baiting tirade... If you want to attack the dude, then do it somewhere else... He's pretty accurate with his C&A reports and Mods often rule on his behalf unlike SO many spurious and ridiculous reports that are filed on here... and oh yea, this report seems to be accurate as well even though his chat in game was a bit out of control...

I love how people think that rude chat is somehow a defense to a hostage holding claim. This came up in another report a month or so ago. Hostage holding is against the rules. Period. There isn't a defense of "Well, he was calling me names." That has nothing to do with the issue.

Its more like 2-3 rounds... 7-8 minutes since it was speed game.

btw when he was not attacking b00060 he was typing :)...

From my point of view he was making sure that b00060 will read what he has to say in response of his "fair" play. Totally legitimate and totally according to the rules.

@b00060 When u insult u should expect that you will be insulted back... and that takes time :P

Overall the report is wasting time. More time was spent on the thread then on the game.

never said anything of the kind... just commented that when you talk a lot of shit in a game, sometimes things won't go smoothly after that...

To the OP, it might feel like hostage holding.
To the accused, it is might seem more of ensuring a win against a well versed and strategic player...

Ensuring a win? He had my single pinned and built up over 130 men to attack it for several rounds? He could have easily killed me as I had already conceded the game, but he continues to just drop and stack. Ensuring the win? Come on.

Take a look at his history. David Staten has a history of complaints against him. I know of at least one case when he was warned for abusing the rating system. He should be banned from CC forever.
