Wow really? There's definitely no secret diplomacy going on in this game.

I'm just not attacking anyone and not being attacked in return. It's called smart gameplay, nobody wants to fight in a fog trench escalating game with a round limit of 30 cause it guarantees you lose...

While what martingale says about not attacking may be true at this point in the game (rnd23) it was NOT THE CASE when this off-game message was posted right near the start. martingale was in danger of attack from a much lower-ranked player (it is TERMINATOR after all)...I'm in this game as well and while I have no problems with the way martingale is conducting himself strategy wise with his alliance, it IS against the rules i.e. Secret Diplomacy to conduct negotiations (and give away other positions=mine) outside of game chat.
Martingale has, apparently only participated in 123 games so far to get to Colonel (?) so perhaps he just deserves a warning to prevent future indiscretions?

Rule #2: No secret diplomacy

All diplomatic discussion between opponents must occur only in the game chat in English or in a language that all opponents understand. Diplomacy includes, but is not limited to: proposing truces, negotiating alliances, and coordinating assaults. Secret diplomacy can be hard to prove, but if you suspect it you should leave the players in question appropriate ratings. If you feel certain about players engaging in secret diplomacy consider reporting them in the Cheating & Abuse Reports forum by posting a new topic.

Rules say discussion, and one message is not discussion :)

2012-05-29 20:44:35 - martingale: Yellow - I propose a border truce between our currently visible border, 1 turn advance notice to terminate.
2012-05-29 20:44:47 - martingale: we're at a standoff so no point in continuing to fight, we'll just weaken each other
2012-05-29 20:44:55 - martingale: let me know what you think

2012-05-31 11:32:42 - martingale: yellow lets fight back red
2012-05-31 12:59:08 - ArkieDog: That
2012-05-31 12:59:23 - ArkieDog: ' is all I can do at the moment

wall message(by martingale on Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:49 am):
relax dude i'm not attacking you next turn. only have the 20+ there since red's coming at the same border.

More or less he mentioned everything that he walled in the game chat previously, so I guess this might end is as noted if there are other messages...
