Comments:can i have a translator on these kind of games or is there a rule against this. Seems like small peanuts for a complaint
(talking in a different language) but if you look at some of the words you can tell they are talking about the game and i thought
during talk in the chat log it had to be for all to see and understand. Could be simple friendly talk but if you don't understand this
language then it also could be secret diplomacy.

Yeah, I answer guilty for speaking french.
But no secret diplomacy it was just general talking about our preferences on game settings.

It is not the first time I speak french with someone on a game chat, usually if it annoys the others player they tell us and we go back to english. So my 2 cents, you could have tell us during the game rather than starting complaining here, trust me I would have directly stop the talking and even told you the subject of the previous talk.
And no I didnt won this game because the two canadians let me win. I can translate the whole game chat if needed for the moderator.

For what it's worth, I'm french, I read the chat and saw nothing wrong there.
They just made comments about escalating gameplay.

I could not understand a thing that was being said so i don't know what kind of subject was being talked about. not out to get anyone in trouble as i have my own things that people probably don't like.It was probably my lazy way of bitching about not being able to know what was happening. Nothing personal and good luck in future games

If you're not trying not get anyone in trouble.. why post it in the C and A rather than asking them to speak in English.. I'm sure it would have been no problem for them to.. Think before you act that's all. lol.

In the one time this happened in a game I was in I just posted "English only in chat please" and it stopped. English is the standard language for game chat (it's written in the rules). But unless they actually talk about the actual game you are in, I doubt it would be a violation. But I do hope that it's a low standard (as in any comments about the game in another language are considered SD).

And donalladan: Why don't YOU be the one who says, "Hey do you mind if we speak French?" You're the one breaking the rules, so you shouldn't put it on other players to ask you to stop.

All players are cleared.

As long there is not diplomacy talk it might not be the most polite thing to do but it's not prohibited.

@akabob2, u're right and the rule, as agentcom kindly remembered, is that we have to speak english. It's just not so easy to take seeing my name in a C and A report . No big deal here I think. Let's time we meet I'll respect the CC rules.

@agentcom : i bet u can't understand it but when u meet people from ur country on speed game on CC sometimes u just wanna make a short hello in ur own language to them. I didnt said as u suggested coz, heh, didnt think someone will put a C and A report for that !

could have and should have said it in the game but its also a cruel world out there.Did what you said when some workers at my job started speaking a diff language over the radio's which was an important link for an E.R. job that we where doing i went through months of hell labelled as a bigot. Just thought to go through proper channels. I apologize for any dis-comfort you may have gone through and hope for the best for all.

You said more than a "short hello." Are you kidding me? And even if you only said hello, why would I not be able to understand wanting to say hi? Your comments are either asinine or dick-ish. I'm not sure which.
