The word isn't banned because users might get tetchy over it being implied that they're gay, whether General Risk is a homosexual or not is irrelevant. You're allowed to call other users many things that they aren't, for example you can get away with calling someone on here a 'dick' - when it is clear they are not playing against an actual penis. The reason things like homophobia and racism are disallowed is because many sections of society have faced years of persecution and certain words have played a part of that and as such they've gained strong negative connotations and many have strong emotional reactions when they're used.

Indeed, there are homophobic and non-homophobic ways of calling someone a fag. If anyone really thinks that this isn't a case of the former, explain.

That said, the OP should suck it up. KM is clearly an idiot, and yes, probably a bigoted idiot, but i don't see this going anywhere other than usefully pointing out a player to avoid.

If a person is indeed homosexual, which is ok with me, everyone should be able to lead their life how they would like. But wouldn't it be a true statment that that person would be a "f*g"? BG is one of the most efficient mod the C&A forum has seen. I'm not always a fan of his judgements, but he's fair too. If you have an issue, it's with the rules, not BG.

Being efficient doesnt make you a good mod. It just makes you fast.

Making the proper choices in punishment, makes you a good mod.

BG has made more than one poor decision since becoming a mod. And it seems that one of the reasons is his snap decisions. I guess thats "efficiency" for you though. lol

And my problem is with his yet again, poor decision in warning me for using the term in a question. If you can't used the term in a C & A report then General Risk should be getting a warning because he quoted the OP in his initial post. Also, anyone who copies and pastes or quotes GR's post, should be getting a warning because it has the word in the quote.

Bigoted comments will not be tolerated---lets all tolerate and live peacefully with one another.

Which of these did I break? Cause I did bash anyones sexual orientation, which is the only possible thing i could see that he could try and pin on me.

I really don't care if you like my posting style, to each their own. I say it like it is. And for the most part BG does make the right choices but sometimes he let's his opinions cloud his judgement. That's when he makes poor decisions.
