I only listed the 1 game as it is the game i am against them and i noticed this behaviour
profits is from the USA and braddy from new zealand.

However yesterday I noticed that both players flags swapped from one to the other depending who was logging in.
My understanding was accounts are only to be logged into by another player when the account holder was absent for a period of over 24 hours.
Both players logged in yesterday and both players logged into each others accounts.

You might be onto something...

On Bradyys wall, Profits says" I'm back, thx". So, maybe he was gone for a little bit and returned unexpectadle or something, idk.. Reminder, It's only a courtesy to mention in game chat if someone else is taking your turns.

there is no way you could play as many freestyle doubles games as these guys...(currently 6 active and 12 waiting on players and nearly 300 completed) and not be jumping in and out of each others accounts taking turns at the right time...

two guys from completely opposite time-zones.....give me a break.....nice to see another player at the top of the table showing how its done..

19. Can I let another player take a turn for me when I am away from the game?

Players are allowed to account-sit for others as long as they are not opponents within the game. It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence. Babysitters should only do what is necessary to take the turn(s) and should not interact with the community, start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). Furthermore, you should only take another player's turn if they are in danger of missing a turn, not for the purpose of gaining a tactical advantage.

Sucks that the guy left you all with a ton of games, but these turns appear to be taken back-to-back affording a tactical advantage ... not simply to avoid missing turns.

But in the game against me it was prof who ended up taking turns for the both of them, (based on the country flags) unless someone else was account sitting BOTH accounts???

Aside from profs vacation, I'm sure there is a legitimate explanation regarding the same flag issue. I would never peg prof for a cheat.

On the weight of this evidence.....and if there's corroboration from the IP logs...... It's possibly quite damning for a pair who set-up so many freestyle games. Hope it's not the case as I've always had a lot of respect for Braddy.

I do feel that taking turns for a partner in freestyle games just to be sure to get the turns in back-to-back is a form of C&/A. I fought pretty hard in a case where it happened to me. I forget who it was now, but those guys were dicks about the whole process: name-calling, dismissive of the complaint, etc. So I didn't feel too bad (and was perhaps more enthusiastic) about the end result.

But I do think that there are some good players on this site, who simply don't recognize this as a form of abuse. They consider it good strategy. And it would be except for CC's overarching one-player, one-account rule. When babysitting is used too often in these situations, it can turn in to a situation where two players are basically sharing two accounts, at least for the purpose of the games that they play in together.

But good players (and good people) may not lurk in the C&A forum and know that this principle. That is why there is a warning system in place. So that players aren't severely punished for misguided but not malicious actions. (Hell, sometimes players only get a warning for actions that are actually malicious.)

This kind of activity is strategic sitting abuse (assuming both players were able to take their own turns) and it looks like that is whats going on in this case.

I realize that this is a complaint about 2 specific players playing a certain way. I did not mean to impugn your clan in any way (and I don't believe I did).

I was just addressing your ... well your arguments if they were indeed arguments. As I said in my previous post, I'm not sure if what you were saying was just to get that information out in the open. In which case, I again thank you.

BRADDY and PROFITS have received a WARNING account sitting abuse.

Just for everyone who doesn't know what is allowed here is the account sitting rule.

Ah, good decision if it was found they had been covering each other's turns. In freestyle it's not so much 'account sitting' as 'account playing' and there's a huge difference. Someone can cover for another in a sequential game and it really has no bearing, but do it in freestyle and of course it's a huge advantage (consecutive or concurrent turns at the click of a mouse).

I've no doubt there will be plenty of flag watching for their future games (still a lot awaiting players).

Just makes one wonder what else is around the CC corner....
