Chariot of Fire - trolling/flaming [Global Mods]

Accused:

Chariot of Fire

The accused are suspected of:

Other: trolling/flaming

Evidence

GD thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=168413
Dako's wall: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=130743
Screenshot 1: http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/o51 ... 80/cha.png
Screenshot 2: http://i.imgur.com/UJ7tt.png

Comments:

Carefully reading the 4 links I provided in evidence makes this pretty simple.

Dako invited "Iron Maid" and "Cha" to a game and dropped it (he probably mistyped the name "Chariot of Fire"). After that, Chariot of Fire created a GD thread to mudsling my clan, implying drunkmonkey, denthefrog, merch313 and loes (I think those were the 4 players) were abusing the invite system.

Where's the evidence Chariot of Fire knew of this before mudslinging so that this would qualify as trolling/flaming?

I like the second screenshot btw, but I'm pretty sure (1) Dako knows it's his wall and (2) you could have resized your screen.

It's a pretty good scam to get your clan mates to join a game against a team that you want to accuse of invite abuse, then invite an inactive player to Team 2, and have the clan mate drop the game and make it appear like Team 1 was trying to use a placeholder noob to assure Team 2 would be filled with random players instead of a coordinated team. Oh yeah - and then make a General Discussion thread about the "situation" to shame and flame Team 1.

Nice try, CoF!

Interestingly enough, this is essentially what I suggested in my second post in that thread.

However, I should add that there isn't enough evidence (yet, anyway) to prove that CoF was in on it from the beginning.

Why is this trolling/flaming? I see what I believe to be possible invite abuse in a game and start a thread wondering if it's going to be the new phenomenon - something that people may want to watch out for. Are you saying I'm wrong to voice my suspicions when I see something that looks wrong?

We were looking to join that game (though Loes has me foed so I couldn't join anyway) but then player 'Cha' appeared before anyone could. This, from our forum:

cachejob on Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:23 am

looks like they invited a new recruit to the opposite team, so they don't have to face a solid team

which, when I read it, prompted me to start that thread.

For sure it's no scam. I was just trying to do the right thing and had acted alone.

So, your story is that the four of you wanted to join, because there were four empty slots, but before anyone could, a name popped into the 7th slot? And Iron Maid randomly questioned Dako about it, even though Dako was never in the game?

Ok, good! I presume the next right move will be to create an apology thread for wrongly accusing the original players of invite abuse.

Try reading the thread again. It could have ended there had Rodion not jumped on his high horse.

I was quick to proffer apologies in the event I was mistaken (which still hasn't been proven btw).

Who said I never was in this game? I joined, started to invite a team. Invited Iron Maid, then went to invite CoF and typed his first letters. Then I rolled my touchpad down to select autocomplete and pressed enter. But autocomplete didn't work and I invited Cha. After that I tried to invit CoF and it said he was foed. Then I dropped the game and IM declined the invite.

Sorry if my meaning wasn't clear - I was referring to a sincere apology.

You did nothing wrong. CoF did, when he starting calling me a cheap player after you made a typo.

I shall come in defense of the good Sir Chariot! This is truly a case where "no good deed goes unpunished." The unfortunate discourse of events has sadly led to speculative accusations that the good-natured Chariot was engaging in something less than noble.

Come brothers and sisters, let us put our differences aside. Come Chief Administrator of the High CC Court! I beseech you to dismiss this complaint! The good CC courts cannot be bothered with such trifle and it should be left to be decided on the playing court! I suggest a 1-on-1 standard world map match to decide this matter.

Of course he said it because he never saw me in the game. It all happened in like 40 seconds. He knew that the invites were going back and forth only when the original thread has hit 2nd page (because we told him what he just did lol).

Let me see if I got your version correctly.

Dako from TOFU makes an inviting mistake and Chariot of Fire from TOFU unknowingly and with the best intentions use the opportunity to take a jab at KORT's reputation?

Seems legit, someone dismiss this! (I'm being sarcastic, C&A mods, do not dismiss this)

That's debatable. The thread still stands calling my teammates & me cheaters. If you read carefully, you'll find "apologies if I was wrong" somewhere on the second page.

and what should he wrote? apologies if im right?
Rodion accused Dako of being cheap on same thread, dont see he offered any apology. and again, i dont see Dako was found guilty for thing he has been accused. as i said, it is impossible to put stone on your keyboard for 3+ hrs. its actually impossible to do it for lot less... and im sure Foxglove is well aware of it as she knows her way around computers and yet she found Rodion accusations reasonable, leading me to conclusion that she might think Dako wrote a script for it, which is not cheap tact but bannable offense.
i said it there, im gonna say it here again. there is pure hate between TOFU and KORT... over internet game!!! i guess its time for you all to release you are all wrong...

This complaint/thread is straddling spurious.

How about you 2 "top" clans have a war and stop cluttering up the forums with bull shit.

this is true. no one was trying to pull a scam, or troll or flame anyone. to those of us who weren't aware of the previous invites and declines, it looked suspiciously like team 1 was trying to prevent a cohesive team from opposing them.

as it turned out that wasn't the case, but commenting on what seemed like a questionable situation (to the initial eye) doesn't constitute trolling. mistakes were made. we move on.

Creating a GD thread based off of one game and accusing an entire clan of engaging in a standard practice of team 2 noob placeholdering qualifies as more than "commenting on a questionable situation" - particularly when that questionable situation was engineered by the accuser's clan mates.
