Twin Killler [noted]

Comments: Poison Rome should really be made off-limits to NRs... Me, well, I don't have a strong opinion. Sorry Twin Killler, but is interesting to see what they say. But have to admit, since the first 4 pages looks like the last one specified below, well, seems pretty clear that one would have grasped that these games are a NR flypaper.

Accused:
Twin Killler

The accused are suspected of:
Other: So-called farming

Game number(s):
Link to 1v1 games / Poison Rome:

Just looking at the last page, see 70 games (70%) having been joined by NRs.

Does the irony hurt? I mean, don't you feel a little...dirty...doing this? Or are you long past that point?

these are all games that he set-up....

Can you show if he has invited all these players into these games?

its usual not to hard to prove if you go through all of them and check the chat your bound to find a couple of games where the invited person will comment in the chat...asking why he was invited...

if he has not invited them in than you dont have a case......these games are all public games and are just 1v1 games

maybe if players like yourself stopped joining 1v1 games with NR's or Noobs (less then 30/40 games played) and instead joined some of these games there would not be a problem....

why dont you start joining his games....you seem to like 1v1 games, whats wrong with joining these ones?

anyway good luck with your crusade...

Is it considered farming if he makes public games for all to join?? I just think he is smart to play a map not many CCers know! A definite advantage. I know twin and he would definitely not ever intentionally "farm" anyone (if that's what you want to call it..)

They are open games. If CC thinks there is a problem they should ban NR from playing. Nothing wrong with creating a public game.

No worries mate. I hope that this is cleared. Because, if so, anyone I assume could set up around 40 games with these settings per 100 games (just looking at your last game page) knowing that they are likely (70% chance) to attract NRs (that's the bottom line here). Problem is, continuos use of a map/game setting that regularly gets NRs in them (being too "unattractive" for regulars) have in some cases been considered a rule violation. So makes sense to see what is and what is not considered ok.

Wasn't alstergren warned to not make any more spurious reports? This is the second one where he wishes a type of play is not considered farming because he needs a new way to exploit the points system.

I sure hope you start making public games alster cause I am ready to join them after all of this nonsense in the C&A forums lately.

If he's farming (i don't know if he is, I suspect that he isn't) then it's only happened just after the new farming consequences have been announced. I think the new rules have given some an incentive to do it, because it's now standard procedure just to get a warning first time. Basically, do it once-get away with it if you know what I mean. Even the second time is only a month not being allowed to play with NR - and the third just three months. None of these first three consequences are going to act as a deterrent at all.

(I'm not talking about Twin here specifically - me and Twin don't see eye to eye, just see his recent message on my wall - i'm talking about the new farming rules)

LOL. It's not spurious. I've never seen such a high amount of NRs (70% of last 100 games!) in a potential "reverse" farming matter. It seems clear that Twin Killer knows that these settings attract NRs (the older game pages, see link, looks the same and he pretty much says so himself in this thread). Guess the excuse would be that he mixes his game lists up a bit having thrown in 60 different games with his last 40 games with this NR flypaper setting.

Don't let my saracasm fool you. I'm genuinly interested to see if this is considered "NR farming" or not since the rule/rulings seem to be all over the place. And besides, what I think doesn't matter, the rules are the rules and those are for the mods to decide looking at the stats.

i hate to tell you but a precident has been set in these cases. you will be told to change your settings to 6 player games or as king achilles will say.

twin killer you are walking down a close line to farming i will advise you to change your settings to 6 player or run the risk of more reports like this. i am noteing this for now if i see your name appear again you will proberly receive the next infraction level you have.

and what do most of us say bollocks you are making the games as long as you are not inviting nr's you should be ok.

I think in all the other cases tho eddie arn't those guys creating 5 player games whereas 6 players nr's can't join. Can't see that they can apply the same ruling when someones playing 1v1 as we all know thats a completely different game.

Plus the settings are basic enough! When i was a striper i always looked for these sorts of games against higher ranking people.. yeah i might have lost a few but usually learned alot.

Anyway i'll back up TK that he doesn't need to find new recruits to play he's awesome on the map! :D

Hope this gets thrown out quickly, if its such a problem it should be another map added to those NR's can't play.

Usually Adin will tell the player accused of this to change up his settings. This has happened many times, and if he continues to play the settings he does, he could get warned etc. etc.

Change it to what tho? The settings are basic (i.e no freestyle) its just the map thats tricky? Not trying to argue just curious? Surely they can't stop antone playing 1v1 games on any map they've deemed is allowed?

This is a joke right..how do you change 1 v 1 settings. He starts the games and anyone is welcome to play.

Alstergren I outlined your own statements that make this a spurious report, which was the reason the other thread was locked. Your not making a report to the C&A Team to bring to the communities attention of a violation of the rules, instead your going through game finder to find users who's games have some sort of suspect in them with games with new recruits that you think will be Cleared. Your searching for a ruling that will bless you to systematically play New Recruits. Don't you get it yet ? Your creating a pattern history to go against you regardless if admin Clears whatever case you get Cleared. Cause at that point in time you will adopt their methods in the hopes of playing a lot of games against NR's.

The problem with that is your intentions are to get games with them when the average joe's intentions are to just enjoy themselves and play games. That is the systematically targeting part that you just arent going to get away from.

The farming rules are there to maintain integrity in the score board as well as make sure everyone is having an enjoyable time here. Quit trying to push the envelope, man up and play games against someone who has played more then 10 or kick rocks.

have to agree with Ickyetseddie here....I think this a completely different thing then the case I brought against raston_morue...raston_morue - still farming NR's[warned]

raston had been warned to change his 5 player games up to 6 player games and ignored this warning...in this scenario there was no real difference if he played 6 player instead of 5 player except that he would not have NR's join his games anymore....(blatant farming)

also if we look at the case brought against alstergren by TheGeneral2112...
Alstergren - Farming [blocked]

In this scenario alster was and had been for a long time actively seeking out NR's 1v1 games that they had set-up in the public forum and joining them on mass with the intention of gaining cheap points from inexperience/deadbeating/kicked out for been Multis NR's...(blatant farming)

as long as Twin Killer is not inviting these NR's to these games and they are all public 1v1 games then there is no case...you cant start telling players they cant play 1v1 games because NR's keep joining them or they should change the settings to 6 player games, its not the same game anymore

twin killer obviously likes this map and 1v1 games and is looking for some real challengers to come join.....the only problem is players of similar rank (like you alstergren) are to busy looking for the easy 1v1 games to join and are to cowardly to face a real challenge...

Some people just can't get enough of C&A reports!!!!!!!!!! Just go play your games and stop be worried about others why don't you jump in all those games since you are looking at them ..For the most part I thought this site was made up of Adults or at least people with a brain, ya and trust that I'm sure a lot of wish we could block NR and lower ranks all together, but you can't so play your own game!!

For all you speculating on this case. It is a very simple and shut case. CC sees this as farming. Just as you joining games vs new recruits. Creating games that attract new recruits is the same thing. You will be told not to make so many of the same type of games. Use other maps / settings instead. Or not to make so many that new recruits join so much. There is no way to defend these actions. Please stop posting with incorrect info.

last i checked the open forum was for the community to speak up and say their opinions, if its not then why not just handle everything via E-Ticket..?... and your a clan director not a C&A mod soooooo
its obvious to everyone (but you) that farming is not as clear cut as you think, hence why their are different views on this.

And when alstergren creates 1 thread to see where the line is and says it over and over in this one its apparent what his intentions are hence the spurious talk.

Much fun as it is to express Righteous Indignation , this does seem to be an issue that's being dealt with. I recommend popping over to the suggestions forum, where there are many many threads of people trying to debate workable solutions that would make the community happy, or at least leave it in a balanced state of annoyance.
