Comments: This player left me a rating which included the Secret Diplomacy Tag. The tag is inaccurate and not factual. It was a 1v1 game. I messaged him on Feb. 8 (as soon as I saw the rating) questioning him about the Tag that he chose for my rating and he didn't respond. He did open it though. I then sent him another message on Feb. 9 warning him that if he did not withdraw the rating I would open a case in the C&A forum. No response, but he did open it. He also did not withdraw the rating. So here I am today on the 10th opening a case against him. I looked through his Rating Left and noticed that he has left this tag in other peoples ratings before and after me, I'm not sure if those are accurate but it seems highly unlikely that all of those people, including the 4 people he left ratings for after me, are involved or have conducted Secret Diplomacy in rbautista's games. Though that is not my call.

You will have to find 5 more examples and add them to your case if you want the Mods to look at it. That is the rules as set by them.

A look at his ratings page reveals that rbautista has left the Secret Diplomacy tag for his opponents in 1v1 games at couple dozen times or so. Specific examples include:

It seems most likely that he simply doesn't know what the tag means as it is usually attached to otherwise positive ratings...

That's my guess, too. Seems to be a common problem among players whose native language isn't English.

Alright, after reviewing the tags and games, it does appear he is abusing the tag. However, after discussion with a Hunter, I have come to a decision on what is going to happen. I am going to send him a PM with a friendly message in Spanish. I'm going to see if he understands it, and changes his ways. I'll keep an eye on him over the next week. If I see any new Ratings and he doesn't change his way, he will receive the appropriate level on the scale.

Sounds like a good solution to me. Hope he appreciates that you're taking the time to do that rather than hit him with punishment.

How come it is taking so long to get rid of this guy. If you click on the link provided everyone rating he has left has secret diplomacy tag. Seems open and shut to me.

If you read what I posted, It appears he didn't know what the tag Secret Diplomacy meant. I have sent a message to him in Spanish, and i'm monitoring his ratings. If he continues, he will receive a ratings ban.

Alright, since I sent him the PM, he has left 3 ratings. 2 of which are good, 1 was not so good. For now, I am going to Note this report. I will check in on him from time to time, and if he goes back to his old ways, I will give him the next level.
