Comments: These 2 games are from a singles tournament. Yes they did report what they were doing. However, diplomacy in multiple games ensuring that both players advance should be considered cheating. What is the point of singles games or a singles tournament when it is OK to team up as long as you declare it. This is a case of diplomacy abuse or whatever you want to name it.

I know what is going to be said about this as it has come up before--it is diplomacy and diplomacy is allowed.

Let's look into this deeper though--if this is allowed to keep happening then why not do it in other non tourney games?

If two friends get together and pull this shit, both will be banned from playing with each other. True???? Damn Right

So now every time these two idiots play together they know to team up with each other--that is doubles not single multi player games

Come on CC do something to set an example here.

Night Strike will be copied on this to hopefully put an end to tourneys like this where it is all about abuse and cheap tactics that should be illegal.

shoop could have left the largest player alone, attacked dumhic to reduce him to 3rd, securing 2nd spot & advance but didn't.

i don't mean to be harsh but if he had a better understanding of the rules for advancing he could have been playing 1v1 with dumhic & 1st sitting it out.

Play to finish 2nd? I cannot do that. They don't award points for 2nd. In the larger picture, not just this tournament what bothers me in an instance like this as that the 3rd person (me in this case) has no chance of winning. However, I could still handle that as this has happened before. However, it is not an isolated case with these 2 as all od a sudden they have found a good strategy together.

If a stance is not taken now they will continue to do this.

This whole diplomacy is allowed as long as you post it is BS anyway. Should not be used except if you need to push a player back who would otherwise win or maybe so you don't attack each other's borders. Should not be used for let's eliminate player 3 and we will see who wins.

MWASER manipulated dumhic for the win last time and am sure he will let dumhic do all the work again so he can walk away with win again.

You truly do not understand my point--if these were two friends playing the game together and they were reported --they would be banned from playing with each other.

I do understand your point HA. I'm just trying t figure this. If I play in a multiplayer game and say in the chat Highlander let's team up on red until he is gone. Is that OK. Well it was OK and well that worked out great. So next game Highlander let's up on red until he is out. Well it was still ok so we do it again and again and again.

Just to make it clear, playing with the intent on teaming up even before the game starts is considered cheating.

Being that this case is more about "the final two" or "who advances on to the next round", I think this is more of a tournament issue. You should address this to the tournament directors and the organizer of the tourney in resolving this. I would assume that these two would not have "teamed up" if these games were not tourney matches in the first place.

there is the problem. you are focused on points and tournaments are about medals.

in future, if your principles are going to get in the way of your chances to progress in a tournament then don't join it.

I must apologize for any mis understandings in this case. In these tourney's there are always the "Top 2 Advance" format and I see your point in how myself and mwaser teamed up twice (my bad I didn't even notice that). As this has caused alot fo grief, and in no way was I trying to cause grief... I'll ensure that I do not envolve myself in this type of play going forward.
As for shoop76 - i am sorry you felt this way, but I am thankful you did point this out and I'll refrain from this again....
