Well i dont know how to start, but rbelgrod ask for help and i will try to help hem.
many people who are on hes frend list get invite for games to play, and im not so attracted by jamaica map,and im not take invite, but i dont mind and i dont find hes messages to be spam.
Now he reported for mass spammer from some PERSON who are hide behind MODS or ADMINS(i dont know who are send warning message to rbelgrod).
Rbelgrod try to make fun here and send to all frends in hes frends list PM game invitations. He realy care to not be spammer, and ocasionaly he remeber all frends in hes list that notify hem,if they dont want to get anymore messages from hem.
These person know that, and these person instead to inform rbelgrod to remove hem from list, report rbelgrod for mass spammer.
I just want to mods and admins know that so that rbelgrod not be guilty for something what its not true.
And for these person, who are hide behind mods, you are on mine foe list, just need to know who are you!!
rbelgrod messges to hes frends
It seems that one of you have reported me as a mass spammer that may get me thrown from this site.
Let me explain my process in the way i invite players
I have made all of you friends over the years, I chose you all by, have either been asked to play in your games, or made you my friends from either invites from tournament organizers, clan mates, other games in which you played well, or just great players that I respected. some that even kicked my ass, and knew they would make the level of play harder and more fun
When i invite you all, i copy my so called " friends " list, and ask you all to play
I have also numerous times asked that if you want off my list to please let me know so that i can remove you, at least 6 people over the last year have been removed.
I take the time to get people together to play, A task many players on this site dont do. which takes alot of time, and people who organize games know what im talking about. invites that are dropped....etc..
I am very pissed because I would not have expected a friend to report me for this, when in fact they could have simply chosen to just ask me to remove them from any future games. this child behavior is un-acceptable to me and i want you to step up and be a man. I will simply go on my life without you in it.
If a friend does this to me, then i can not imagine what a enemie is capable of.
It isnt too difficult to just delete a pm, is it? So whoever you are, thank you for destroying my fun and hard work. as well as I may be thrown out of this site for trying to organize some fun , when i DID ask you all about it
So once again, you are all asked from me to my friends, If you do not want in any of my invites, please reply to me in private, i will remove you. I invited KING archilles to this pm, so he is aware of what i am asking...he will also be removed as a friend lol...I have told him that i refuse to change the way i invite, and this is how i will handle it...so step up or shut up
Thanks to all my friends, and please do not directly respond to this matter, pm me in private please
Rich.....a player who is ready to either have fun here, or just quit

An absolutely untrue and abusive accusation. rbelgrod is exactly the sort of pro-active organizer that makes this site work!

Just a quick post to say that rbel is one of the more friendly, coolest and honest guys around CC. And that, by the way, is not too often seen here... so it should be cherished.
He has a (somewhat vast) friend list, in which I'm included, to whom he sends his invites for games. I see no harm in that. Especially because he periodically asks if everyone is ok with it, and if not he would promptly remove the unsatisfied fellow from that 'guest' list.
Cheers,
K

just want to add to this seeing that it has been turned into a public discussion. rbel has on numerous occasions said that if you do not wish to continue to receive the pm's let him know and he will remove you from his friends list. I see nothing wrong with his sending the game info to his friends as a result. just follow what he said.. if you don't want to get the messages just let him know. If you don't let him know the assumption is that you are fine with getting them!
and just for the record... continue to send me the messages rbel. When/If I no longer want to receive them I'll let you know.

I think I speak for most of us on rbelgrod's list. He takes a lot of time to organize competitive games with good players. He's offered many of times to remove people from his list if they do not want the invites. It probably took the complaining douche bag more time to complain then it would have for him to ask to be removed from the list. Most of us enjoy the games and appreciate the invites. Why don't you get rid of the whiner and leave rbelgrod alone.

Mass PMs are supposed to be sent using BCC, so if you didn't do that and then people start Reply to All on them, then you deserve to get a warning.

Wrong, you now have to hit reply all in order for it to go to everyone, so the replyer would be the one at fault, because they are purposely replying to all.

Im not on his list, nor do I get his messages. Nor do I play with him.
However I regularly play against his teams, they are solid players and never had any issues with them. If this is how he organizes such teams in order for me to get q challenge playing them, then by all means I support him keeping up the hard work.

+1 Support for Rbel. Don't partake in many of the games, but like getting the PM's. We need players like this to keep things moving along!

The reason i dont use BCC, because it was a friends list, not general public. I want players to know who else was invited, and what level of competition that are up against. this is not anybody who hasnt asked to be on or were not aware they were on my list...they can and could easily have asked without bringing chaos into all of our lives...

Rbels messages do not need a reply, they are just a witty comment and notification that there are games ready to be joined. So I don't see how you can deserve a warning for that. As others have said, all you need to do is ask to be taken off the list.

I don't like Jamaica, but it is true, rbel has explained many times to the people on his list that if they don't want the invite he would not include them. Although I rarely join the games, I think it is nice of him to include an invitation for me.
Wouldn't the proper action here be, either foe him and not receive the pm's anymore, or nicely ask to be taken off of his list? I think you will find...99.9% of the folks on this list either want the invites, or don't mind getting them. So I don't think what rbel is doing is a problem at all. The problem here seems to be an individual who can't figure out a simple solution for handling this themselves, which says alot about this individual.
He makes a lot of games that fill up fast with quality players. Many people really like this.

Based on what I've heard, it doesn't sound like spam to me. If the list includes only people that you have regular contact with, and if you are not blasting them on a daily basis, and if there is an option for them to be removed from the list, then that meets the criteria of being non-spam.

It's not like he's just picked random people and sent a message to them. I don't mind getting them, even if I don't join that many. Ironically, the most annoyed I've ever been with this is right now, since people keep "replying to all" to rbelgrods PM about the whole thing.
Stop it.

Although they still have to consciously take the time to hit reply to all recipients

don't have time to read all this stuff, but it's pretty simple. You respond to anybody's pm that sends u "what u consider spam" saying "please remove me from your list". that would be faster than some long drawn out complaint.

Didn't it use to be the other way, that if you hit "reply" it got sent to all recipients?
That would be annoying.
