I explained why i deadbeated. CC was/is too slow. Persistently slow. I can't wait, a sometimes, average of 90 seconds for a web page to load. Who would?

I have posted about this issue many times

here
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... w&start=15, here http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... light=slow, here http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... light=slow and here http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... light=slow.

One should notice the time difference between posts.

I should not get bad feedback for something that is beyond my control.

Deadbeating is a legit reason for feedback.

How old are you, Gerry???

If you are over the age of 25, remember WAAY back when all there was was dialup... A 56k modem was the shit, right?

Anyway, my point is that you really need to calm down about having to wait a whole minute.... Dear God, what kind of impatient person are you?

But you did deadbeat though. No matter what the reason, if someone is not happy about a deadbeat, then they can leave bad feedback.

The thing is it doesn't matter the reason as MB says. I recently came about 30 minutes close to deadbeating because of a real life emergency. Now I had a legit excuse (more so than a slow connection), and apologized to everyone in my games, but someone still could've left a feedback and it would've stood. Deadbeats, for whatever reason, detract from the game experience. No one likes to play deadbeats.

yep, it's fine. He's an arsehole! I only deadbeat in 4 games out of more than 25 games i had going and it's not as though i'm a serial deadbeater.

I can't stress this enough, with a, sometimes, average page load time of 90 seconds, thats a minute and half!!, I'd have been on cc 'till the cows come home taking turns. And then i get bad feedback because i gave notice to those games where i had no option, unless you count wasting my time an option, to deadbeat.

It's all relative. You've deadbeated 4x as much as I have. Many wouldn't want to play someone who has a 16% chance of deadbeating like you, so this feedback is definitely warranted to warn other players of your likelihood of deadbeating. It's not like you're missing an occassional turn, you're missing 3 consecutive turns per game.

If you're having connection issues, try upgrading your computer or playing at a different time (maybe you're playing when the site is taking a backup?). I'm not aware of anyone else here who has consistent connection problems like you mention.
