Accused:

caymanmew

The accused are suspected of:

Farming new recruits, or creating multis.

Game number(s):
I map ranked him and was like WOAH this dude is really good at 2010 world CUP!!! Then I looked at his game page... Nearly all new recruits or really low ranking players... its a little suspicious to me that many new recruits just join his games. I think that either he is farming by invitation or that he is creating multis and sending them to his games. for the entire 1st, 2nd and half of the third page of games are all 2010 world cup with new recruits or low ranks, wit like... 10 exceptions? Again, I'm just observing, I ran across an odd case, thought I would bring it to the attention of the C&A. Probably just deserves a warning, nothing serious.

I played in his first game on the map :) . On a more serious note I don't for a second believe that these are his multies! Why would he only play against them on one map? It's more likely that he's intentionally farming newbies. Not nearly as bad as creating multies but still bad enough to receive a warning. I don't think he has invited them. I like that map and I'm good at it myself but I would never join the games he's set up. Too many weird settings and I can imagine most people avoid games like that. Which leaves him to play against unsuspecting newbies.

honestly points are fun but they come second to enjoyment of the game i don't know what it is but i love that map and considering it is an event map i know i have to play as many games as fast as possible as it will be gone soon for who know how long.

i make like 40 games with my favorite settings (freestyle, manual, fog i only put nukes in for the medal i will stop doing that now that i have gold. not that nukes change the game as it is normally over before 5th card) if i made then before i went to bed by morning i only have like 15-20 left so they will fast.

now looking at the NR. for one they should not be able to join that map as it is not a simple map and is weird for first timers on it.
i personally don't want to play NR as they deadbeat 75% of the time. i don't play games to win by default i play them to play them. also point wise playing NR makes no sense as i get like 7 points for a win and lose like 50. i know looking at my finished games i have not lost for a bit but there are a couple games that are looking bad for me that should en soon.

but in the end i don't care who i play i just want them to play if it is NR or conquer if they play it is fun. so go ahead and "warn" me but i don't think i did anything wrong. i cant control who joins my games so i should not be punished for having NR join them

This is a lie because you foed me when I joined five of your games (way back when you were a sargeant).

But I believe you not cheating, your style of play suggests you are taking advantage of the unholy trinity of game settings manual, fog, freestyle for an easy objective win.

No surprise you 'love' these game settings.

:)

CC admin,

Cayman asked me to look at this -- because I was accused of SIMILAR (not same) type of Farming. My two cents for Caymanmew include:

1) I didn't play New Recruits so I wasn't Farming. I only played New recruits when I asked how many told <20%, kept to <10% then whatever. BUT, Cayman IS playing New Recruits, so it is a different issue.

2) then I recommended the charge might be changed to "recless endangering of ?newRecruts" and Cayman replied (10/28/11):
19:59:40 ‹Gen.LeeGettinhed› hang on, I GOT IT swimmer: Cayman is RECKLESS ENDANGERING ?NewRecruits with his style
19:59:48 ‹Gen.LeeGettinhed› POINT RESET for Cayman
20:00:24 ‹caymanmew› wait i dont care point reste me if you want as long as i can keep playing jy games

So I recommend:
1)prevent New Recruits from playing Certian ranks and higher
2) reset Caymanmew's points -- LIKE he mentioned that he didn't care
3) all type "mew mew mew" in Social and Game Chats -- he hates that and will foe us

GLG

Not true. If you are winning that quickly, then you must only be playing people who have no dice.

Yes there is a large % of new recruits. Yes cayman continues to make them knowing that the majority will be filled by new recruits. Yes I believe he enjoys the map and using it as his bread and butter points gathering map. Yes I believe the map should be blocked from new recruits. Yes it is pretty well the only map he is playing.

All that said it is 1v1. It is CC's fault new recruits can join that map/settings.

NOTED worthy and a friendly suggestion to mix up the settings and also play a few other maps is likely the outcome. Cuz He is kinda farming.

2010 world cup is the map he is best on in quards if I remember correctly, or is that st patricks day. Both of those are top performances on his part.

There is a difference between low rank and no rank. Also when a players games are almost exclusively a single map that is filled almost exclusively by new recruits there is definitely something questionable going on...

He has 97 active games - 77 of them are 2010 cup games - 63 of them are against ?

Im reading these posts and am unsure of a few things:

If you enjoy a map and settings and the main sign up is new recruits, at what point is it considered farming?
If you make 100 games and 70 are joined by new recruits (just picking arbitary numbers out of the air) are you then to impose a self ban on that map and settings for a period of time, or ever?
Or do you invite higher ranks to bring your % ranks more even?
If you are good at a map and confident you will win then would inviting high ranked players be considered farming?
How can you personally police who joins?

This case deals with the same question. viewtopic.php?f=239&t=155503&start=45
Pedro Nunez got noted and he was far less guilty of farming than caymanmew is. It is considered farming if you mostly play newbies. Even if they join your games. I was at first surprised at this but it makes sense.

All of these issues could be easily addressed by allowing the setting of a minimum points limit for joining players - it would only really need to be on 1 v 1 games as that seems to be where most of the problems / mis-matches arise. It would surely be simple to set up, so I can't see why it hasn't been tried already.

Thank you, it appears you can be quilty of something for no fault of your own!! Depends who investigates and what they think. Maybe newbies should be strongly advised to join games at their own level, if only to help protect established players from getting into trouble.

Or add the option for a player to drop a player from their game if they are a new recruit. Then people will have the chance to set up any map with any setting and not play newbies. If this option was available you would know that the person is choosing to play newbies. As currently once they have joined you have to play them, or cheat by delibrately throwing the game so as not to be accused of farming.

i really dont want to debate it,, ? they will most likely just join 1 vs 1 very rarely has ? joined a multi player game that i have played in .. to me low rank and no rank its all the same STINKERS and with upper ranks being far and few and probably somewhat tight knit , i would call it team farming ..in all honesty i dont have a problem with either of em.. nor should anyone of you .. simple saying in life .. If it doesn`t apply let it fly ...

The thing is... I guess I should create 70 1v1s and see if I get the same showing? lol Cause there is NO way that is just popularity in a map for noobs. He has to be inviting... and he hasn't denied that, and he just got pissed in Live Chat when he found out. Anger is a sign of guilt imo. If I was a accused of cheating I wouldn't freak out. If he isn't gonna get in trouble who cares? If hes clean he shouldn't worry so much. lol, no idea this was gonna get so huge.
