Accused:
Pedro NunesThe accused are suspected of:
Other: I don't know if this is considered farming or not, but his game type attracts a shit load of ? players. Looking at his first page of games there is only 1 or 2 without a new player, most of them have 3 or 4 new players.
Game number(s):
Every game on his list.
Comments: Not sure if this is against the rules...but its certainly sketchy

I don't know. That doesn't look that suspicious to me. It looks like he has a setting and map that he likes to play. I used to play a lot of American Civil War standard games and I wasn't trying to farm, but a lot of NRs got into games. I'm just not sure if he should be blamed on this one. He's creating all the games all the same settings. It's not like he's seeking out NRs. They are finding him. And it seems like the majority have at least 1 or 2 people who are not NRs.
I would say that he looks ok.

i agree,
it does look weird that so many new players (?) are joining his games, but as Chap says, he creates the games and has no bearing on who joins them, He is from Italy and most that join are USA, not seen a ? from italy yet so looks all good, just a coiwinkadink my friend.

There have been other instances of this type and whilst i agree you cannot control who joins your games, other players have been asked to change the game settings for a while to mix it up a bit.

The largest games NR's can join are 5 player games. Some, ah "shrewd", people have seen to use this to their own advantage by creating large quantities of 5 player games.
In cases like this it's naturally hard to prove intent, perhaps the man simply enjoys 5-player games. Ofc, I've seen cases brought before C&A (Posted one or two of the more exceedingly blatant cases of abuse myself) that were far more obvious than this one that were ignored, so don't hold your breath for a harsh ruling.

not holding my breath, just not 100% clear on he rules because they are very vague.

Indeed, such a shame is it not. But every system is flawed, or rather, there are always those that seek to exploit loopholes.

i just looked at the game settings you cannot even defend this guy saying he is medal chasing that most of the cases above were using nuclear setting or something. if you go back a few pages his usual game play is more than 5 player. so it does look like he is setting these games up with the intention of attracting new recruits.

That is a good point.

CC has set a standard in the past, if you keep creating games with settings that attract a high number of New Recruits, whether you're inviting them or not, may get you punished.

I think the rulings in the past have been more of a request than a punishment and this one should be treat the same as the others

I wasn't aware that the highest number of players in a game that NRs can join was 5. I never tried to go for new recruits, but I prefer to play 4 or 5 player games if I am playing a standard game.
As to what eddie says about these games not being his preference, it seems like they are now. It's been over 100 games since he joined/started a different game other than 5 player Europe. And even before that he played a lot of games on Europe. All he plays is Europe and World 2.1. Out of over 900 games he has 52 that aren't on Europe or World 2.1. He started playing World 2.1 and then mixed in some Europe and now primarily plays Europe. It's just what he likes.
That's what I think about it. If he is doing something wrong, I don't see it.

Eh, Aalemedia[insert numbers here] (Or however you spell his name) got a point reset from it. But I think it was more along the lines that he continued setting up games when he was being investigated.

Hmmm. I find this odd because currently i am playing a bunch of africa and Iberia maps, and recruits keep joining them, how do we keep them out of the games? I use different settings in them but in one of the strategy pieces I read that you should pick a map or two and get good on them to help increase your game skill, and it was best once you got good on them to get the medals you dont have. so do I now need to quit playing these maps because i have gotten better on them? There are different level of players joining not just recruits but I would say most of them are. I need to know something about this quick.

Make it a 6 player game. NR's can't join 6+ players games.

I'd say as long as you have a bunch of different games you would be fine but where the majority of his games are on that map with that setting it's bad.

Regardless of if he creates those games because he wants ?'s to join or not he's not doing anything wrong.

Well, the Hunters have thought different in the past. People have been punished in the past for creating games exclusively that attracted NR's.

wow I'd like to see a reference as to where exactly in the rules it says you're not allowed to create any game you want to. It's not like you're inviting them, they just join.

Unwritten Rules
Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games or deliberately benefiting from thrown games, intentional deadbeating, holding players hostage, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts,
systematically "farming" new recruits. That last part there...

Which brings me to something else right now the ? cant play the 6 plus player games but alot of players prefer 5 player games. how about making it so that new recruits cant join games other than with other new recruits, and can only play in other games after say corporal is achieved. and to keep it fair anyone above corporal cant play with them. and I do change the settings trying to gain medals. I dont start any of my games with intentions of specific rank players joining. Heck the reality is I wish all that joined were captain and above, much better games no craziness going to happen that way

I do think it's bad to limit NR games too much. If they only play with other NRs, they'll get a bunch of deadbeat opponents and not come back to the site themselves because of the crappy play.

I think it's funny how the unwritten rules are written down. Unwritten rules are guidelines/morality that most people follow but isn't in an actual rule. Why call it unwritten if they by unwritten mean written?
