GRAHAMBO
The accused are suspected of:
GRAHAMBO on a few doubles game of "fog of war", on the very 1st hand, told the other team where our positions are in the chat. He did this because he is pissed at me. This is blatant abuse, cheating, poor sportsmanship and violation. He also posted vulgar posts on my wall, which I deleted. He should be banned. This is not the type of player, attitude or gamemanship that CC is trying to promote; this is what CC should be getting rid of. Also, on another 3 player game he told the other player to just go for me, so less points would be lost, so he could win rather than go for him. His abuse and violations are not acceptable in any manner.

Your only recourse is to foe him, rate his game activities and go find yourself a new partner.
It is cheap tactics and poor sportsmanship on his part but there are no rule violations on breaking fog. As for wall abuse you deleted it so there is no evidence of that...

Avoid 3player games like the plague, unless you are a bitchy whiny sort of person that enjoys saying not playing. 3player games often if not normally end up in an argument. Really not worth it. Fog is pretty much an unwritten rule, someone rats out your position, if your pissed off enough foe them. Someone tells me something about fog in a game, ie "yellow becareful red has a 15stack in japan" I often don't believe them. People like to try it on trying to make one opponent look stronger or weaker to get the heat of themselves. Wall posts, jefjef has covered get a screenshot or it didn't happen.

The reason for Fog of war is for the secrecy of positions. However, it is against the rules to intentionally throw a game, regardles of reason. For this a his ban should be permanent

Don't think breaking fog alone can be considered game throwing until something other than just that actually happens. Maybe they will NOTE it but I'd be surprised if they did.
BTW: You should include in your complaint what all you are accusing him of and should have used that handy and easy to fill out form...

Well, 2 of those games are doubles games with me as the opponent, so I'll say something.
In the 2 doubles games, it gave me no advantage because I wasn't paying attention to what he said. In one of them I saw that he wrote 'xi figye,' but I just thought it was something that he meant to say to his partner. He didn't say that's where they were. However, in the other game he did say that's where they were.
This would be different if it wasn't doubles and it was a map like Classic. On a map like Age of Realms, it is very helpful to know where your opponent is at. If I had been paying more attention, I may have been able to use this information to my advantage. As is, I didn't.
That being said, I think this is a violation. This is a team game and he is giving away position and playing very poorly as well. It seems like he's throwing the games IMO. In one game we started off very poorly with the dice and I would have thought that one of us would be eliminated by now, but his team is moving very slowly. I assume this is his fault, unless they are having the same dice fails we are. In the other game, we started off very well and I think we would have won anyway, but he attacked straight through his dock into another dock all the way down to one. He's playing to lose from my perspective. He might only be trying to sabotage his partner, but that's sabotaging himself as well in my games.

I fail to understand how it's poor strategy to try to turn one opponent against another opponent, especially in a map like AoR where if you're left alone for a few turns, you can form a ridiculously strong economic base.

@ chapcrap, I appreciate you understanding and BTW you did use it to your advantage, because you went directly to XI where he wore his men down so you could take it. It is a huge advantage and on any map, especially AOR and he should be banned for this

That is a separate issue. Intentional throwing of a game is a major infraction and a blatant form of cheating. Trying to get two enemies to fight each other for your own advantage, including by revealing true/false fog information is not against the rules.

Giving away position on Fog of War is throwing a game ...... that's what the major issues of the post is

You failed to read the post kiddo. OP is pissed because
his partner in a dbs game gave away their positions because they were having issues with each other. Two friends falling out during a group of games.
So discussion, if you wish to contribute is about whether giving away positions in fog is cheating, or merely poor form/bad manners. Consensus appears to be, along the lines of.
- You argued
- Your partner gave away your positions
- Foe and move on
- Poor form and bad teammate, not necessarily cheating

The is no justification for giving away position on a Fog game other than cheating and intentionally throwing a game. He did this without provocation and is mad about losing other games. This is not the gamemanship or environment that CC tries to foster, this is the type of player that is a plague to CC.
Intentional throwing of a game is a major infraction and a blatant form of cheating. ...enough said, now send him packing

Those location shout outs could have merely been misdirection/false info. Something other than just that has to happen to be considered Game throwing. From what chapcrap says on
game play it does look like he is intentionally throwing the dub games.
Anyway he won't be site kicked for this instance... AND you have yet to even fix your complaint and specifically state what you are accusing him of. CC has been known to ignore complaints not properly formed...

It's because it's a doubles game. He wasn't turning an opponent against another opponent. In my games at least.

Just because we went toward Xi does not mean that I used the information. I didn't use the information. I wasn't really even paying attention to it. In the team chat I wrote that he was probably in Aoria or Ghyr. I didn't even realize that he was in Xi. Of course, the reason that I thought he was in those places was because he had 3 total terts and one was a village. Why would he attack straight to dock from Xi? Throwing the game, IMO. Or bad strategy.
LoD_Cerberus wrote:Giving away position on Fog of War is throwing a game ...... that's what the major issues of the post is
I'm not sure giving away position is throwing a game. It could be a strategy, especially in the 3 players game. If it's a strategy in a doubles game, it might be good to let the partner in on it.
LoD_Cerberus wrote:The is no justification for giving away position on a Fog game other than cheating and intentionally throwing a game.
Disagree. You can even lie about things in fog of war. Very easy to do. And telling the truth doesn't always matter because the opponent may think that you're lying anyway. No rule against this.
The real issue is whether or not he was intentionally throwing the games in the doubles games. Seems to me like he was trying, but we managed to lose one of them anyway with our dice. Guess it's up to the mods to decide if he was really trying to lose or if he just had awful strategy.

I oppose Graham in a number of Ar02 games.
Yes he gave their positions away.
I surely do not understand his motive..

Based on what chapcrap said about the games in question I do believe Grahambo did give their positions away but it didn't effect the way the other team played I am going to NOTE this report. I suggest LoD_Cerberus Foe and rate accordingly.

This did affect the out come, they went directly to him where he wore down and they won the game. On the other per chapcrap, they had horrible dice, but this would have affected the outcome as well. I just had stellar dice and not once did grahambo assist me, so yes the out come of the games were affected
