Is vicious paranoia considered abuse?

Is (to quote my friend Knarros) McCarthyistic paranoia grounds to ban somebody, or at least slap their wrists? If you note this posting
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14498 yonyd212 maliciously attacked and slandered not only my name, but the name of a close friend, and disregarded the testimony of the only other person in the game he refers to.

He's a doink. I put him on my ignore list during our game together.

Why does everyone throw the "ban" thing in there? This guy is obviously a paranoid cheesewanker, so put him on your ignore list - i'm putting him on mine, because i like to play with friends and family too. Another one you might want to ignore is albroshlo. This wanker made no comment in the game chat about the way i was playing, but when he found out that another player in the game was my nephew, he gave us both nfs.
Wicked removed the nfs because they were groundless, but you have a few people on this site who feel that you can't play with family or friends and remain objective.

you should note that I said "or at least slap his wrist" the ban him comment was just to empasize his reaction to us.

I don't think you can play family or friends and be objective. If you arrive at a situation whereby everything is equal and you need a card then you will obviously go for the player you are not familiar with. Thats not to say that you are cheating it is just the way it is. I think if you want to play with family or friends then set up a private game.

And to answer your question.
Anybody who is suspicious of anothers play has the right to report it in the cheating and abuse forum, although I feel he overstepped the mark when he said "a multi for sure". If you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear and your names will be cleared. If that is the case then I would expect your accuser to post an apology for his wrong accusation.

haven't you ever wanted to kill your family? CC is the perfect opportunity without the hassle of 10-20 years in prison..

Exactly. I rarely play singles games with my son or nephews, and when i do it's usually because one of my nephews follows me into a game to kick my ass (cause you can't do it in real life you wankers). If i have an even choice whether to attack a stranger or my nephew, i will attack my nephew because i know he's gunning for me. Maybe my family is different from yours? And you don't accuse people of cheating because you are suspicious. Where i come from you don't accuse someone of cheating lightly, and it's rather cowardly to do it on the internet just because the accused can't get at you to punch the shit out of you.

Ahhh..... I'm glad that I'm not alone when I try to defend my right to be able to play friends and family (although none of my immediate family plays conquer club.... YET!) I thank all of you so far for your opinions.

To be on the safe side, i announce at the beginning of a game now if one of my family members is playing.

But the thing yet to be noticed in this forum is that the games we have played with each other have been either team, or only with each other. there has been no chance for our biases against eachother to mess up anybody elses game.

The more you protest your innocence the more guilty you look.

Yet Mr. Podge, have you noticed that we have been pending for the last eight days? It seems to me that just sitting on your rear is not the best way to get this whole thing taken care of.

I have been through the process and my complaint took a couple of weeks to be resolved. You keep posting will not speed the process up.

The last twenty Multi busts or clearings have an average of 2 days to resolve (yes I did just spend the last ten minutes figuring that out) The longest that it has taken on any of them was 8 days, just like us. They must either think we are really smart multis, or they must just have better things to do.
*Sigh*

There's no reason to pardon yourself. You are entitled to your opinion.

Personally I see nothing wrong with self-righteousness or with being a twit

Ya, I was wrong to say "Multi for sure", but u guys don't need to take it so personal, this forum is for "suspiciuos multis", and you have to admit that when looking at your games there is room for suspicion. The moderators will check and if u are innocent your name will be cleared, that's what the forum is for. So the answer to your question is "yes I have a right to question you guys" and no I didn't attack you. All I did is put your names uo so that the moderators will check, and soon we'll get the official results.

This is what happens when people start to take the game too seriously. The game and the site are for fun - what the hell is this fascination with the points and rank? You have a lot of high rankers who stopped having fun a while back, and now they play amongst (with) themselves and stick to doubles and triples, all so they can maintain their points. I got up to lieutenant, and realized i was doing this and it was cutting my enjoyment down. So now i play mainly singles games off the board. Sometimes i see suspicious behavior and i confront it in the game. If i don't like the way someone plays, i put them on my ignore list so i won't see them anymore. But i don't worry about family members in a game. How about friends? How about someone you've played before? Where does this road of yours end up, podge and yoni?

He didn't even play a single game with us. His entire case was founded on the conversation in a single match, that was played between three friends and only those three friends.

Again, I look at this forum and the other and I cant believe what has manifested over the last couple of days. How intense!
But you know what, its nice to know that I have friends that will continue to fight this battle even when Im away all day at a 12 hour practice.
Moderators: Khel brings up an excellent point that our e-mail address are two completely different services (aol and comcast). Case closed.
