Comments: this is my first time doing a C&A report so I apologise if I have done anything wrong with the layout of this report...

the story is that DJENRE has been missing from this site for nearly 2 months now, yet his account is still been use by a group of account sitters made up of people he regularly plays team games with...I believe all players mentioned above have access to DJENRE's account but have only seen dragon dor mention in game chat that he was takin the moves...Game 8998433

I am currently involved in a competitive tourney 8 way standard game which involves DJENRE and fairman Game 9145021 and if you read the game chat fairman admits to having access to DJENRE's account but says he is not playing for him in this game..

2011-06-08 00:55:03 - fairman: I can't backsit DJENRE because of this game.
2011-06-08 00:55:40 - fairman: If you have any doubt you can ask a mod to check the connection IP

Also if u read the chat in above game Dukasaur admits that DJENRE has been absent for 5/6 weeks and has no idea if he will be back

although I have not found any games where the other 3 players mentioned (douitashimashite, DJoach, and djelebert) have been account sitting, they are all still active in trips and quads games which involve DJENRE so I would imagine they have access aswell..

I also found another competitive tourney 8 way assassin game which involves DJENRE and douitashimashite Game 9154783

I am unsure of all the rules for account sitting but I believe this is a case of abuse.... Im sure there is a limit to how long you can claim that someone might be returning to the site and continue playing on his account. also to have DJENRE playing in competitive games with people that have access to his account is wrong and unsporting.......Game 9145021, Game 9154783

I think DJENRE account should be locked until DJENRE himself comes back and claims it......

Also Dukasaur should redo game Game 9145021 without DJENRE...

DJENRE has a French flag right now. His last forum post was Sat Apr 23, 2011 8:06 am (My time)

I'm not sure it's fair that fairman is named in this complaint. According to chat he is not taking turns in games that he is an opponent of. That is the correct thing to do.

Also looks like all active games are tourney and if sitters are accepting invites for tourneys that DJENRE was signed up for and ongoing then that is not a rules violation either.

If he's been gone for 2 months that's an account sitting problem, if they're accepting new tourney games under his account.

uhm , i believe djenre is from france ? , i just see tournament games wich already had started so maybee better next time u make urself sure of the rules before u make any claims ?

Funny as it seems we just can make reports on assumptions , or is this also an assumption ...sorry for that then

You could almost think that but as per the rules they are allowed to accept tourney invites to ongoing tourneys that he signed up for and is participating in.

I also think he is a French account and has a French flag right now. So maybe a good chance he hasn't been completely gone for 2 months...

jefjef is spot on. Nothing happening here.

I fully understand the frustration of the report maker here, however for my best knowledge there is no abuse dragon can be accused in this.
he is simply sitting, accepting invites for the tournament games which must be done for the sake of tourney to go on...
the frustration is coming out from the fact that, dragon is one of the best players around, and possibly kicking ass there and report maker feels it to be not fair...maybe yes but, you should now that there is nothing against rules.
maybe your report should not be accusing dragon, but you might ask for some revise/reconderations on sitting conventions. Such as, maybe it might look more fair to ask a change to be made about if someone gonna sit for other player, then the sitting player can not be a higher ranked player...
not sure something like that.

I believe both dragon and DJENRE are French, so the flag doesn't prove anything.
DJENRE was in two of my tournaments when he first left, and I dropped him from both of them. If a player is gone for 2 months, even if he's returning, I believe it should be MANDATORY that the player be dropped from tournaments. Because he's not really playing in them, is he? So if DJENRE (Dragon Dor) wins a tourney while the real account holder is away, is that really fair? I don't think so.

I am under the opinion that in cases of extended absence, that the sitters inform the tourney organizer, so that they can get a replacement. I don't have time to look, but I believe this was partially covered in the Blitz thread as well.

This was only because blitz or any other sitter missed tons of turns.

I think Dragon dor's been playing for him the whole time. There's a bunch of 1 v 1 Stalingrad games against me where he announces at the beginning. Then at the midway point in others, he also announces who he is, possibly forgot to earlier. Either way, abuse or not, DJENRE isn't taking very many of his turns.

the fact is he has been inactive as jefjef pointed out since Apr 23...

He has been completely gone for all this time, if u read the game chat in this game Game 9145021, Dukasaur clearly says he has not heard from him in 5/6 weeks

As for the point about the French flag, all but 1 of these players has a French flag so I dont get your point....

the main point here is how long can you continue account sitting someones account before you have to ask yourself if the person who owns the account is going to return and maybe you should stop joining all games he may have signed up for and just play out his active games till there all finished.

7 weeks is more than a long time for anyone to not be able to come online...he is either in a coma, been sent on a recon mission behind enemy lines by the foreign legion, met a women/man and thought f**k CC, or (sorry to say) passed on...whatever the reason for now it looks like he has gone from CC,

it seems a few people are more concerned about me accusing dragon dor of some wrong doing, sorry for rubbing people the wrong way on this, I am sure dragon is a very noble player and have had the pleasure of playing him on a few occasions (3 wins and 1 lose to me ) but as I said in the first post this is the first time I have made a C&A report and the template asked for ACCUSSED and dragon is the only player I have found who has posted in game chat that he was takin DJENRE's turns.
I dont believe that he (or fairman) have done anything outside of the rules of account sitting and am not asking for them to be punished just that DJENRE's account be closed untill he comes back and claims it

So the only relevant thing in this C&A report is : how long can you account sit for someone before you have to accept they are not coming back??????????

thank you for this post dowian2, this covers everything I have been trying to put forward here, I dont believe that his account sitters done anything technically outside of account sitting rules but at some stage someone should have thought maybe we should stop joining new games for DJENRE (even if they are tournament games) and just ask for him to be replaced by a reserve (which happened in some tournaments, i.e. Serbia's NHL Season 2) and just play out his active games till finished....

As for the account sitting abuse charge against dragon dor and fairman, sorry if these players or friends of these players feel I have been disrespectful for bringing these accusations against them, again I stress that I am new to this and was just following the laid out template...ACCUSED, SUSPECTED OF...maybe I should have titled it: ACCOUNT SITTING FOR TO LONG....

All I wanted to acknowledge is that DJENRE has been absent for two long for people to still be entering him into games......job done...cheers

sometime i wish, sigh !!!, but i do not have access to DJENRE's account ! ! ! please remove my good name from this accusation

I don't necessarily think this should result in any punishments, because as long as all they were joining was tourney games, it's kind of a grey area (at least to me). But this just underscores the fact that CC needs to implement an official account sitting plan. My understanding is that this is on the way, which is a good thing.

Another case of someone joining a million tourneys then quitting CC. Maybe there should be rules about how long a guy can be gone before you're not supposed to join tournament games/take his turns at all anymore.

I will always been surprised about the people that open a thread in the C&A forum without warning the accused person by PM with the link of the thread ...

- Well as I wrote in the chat of the game Game 9145021 I am not backsitting DJENRE for more than a month so have no conflict with this game.

- DJENRE have always played from France, I think that he was a fireman.

- I don't have any idea about where he goes as he doesn't tell anyone that he left.

- If mods want to check my connection logs to check that I haven't backsit him for more than a month, please do.

- In the game Game 9145021 I had to start a stack on Rovaniemi to protect my bonus.

- VicFontaine and opposite also let me get this bonus in this game, will you accuse me of backsitting them?

So no bad feelings, but no really appreciable to find your name in the C&A forum ...

Its about a month you can site for people and accept new games. if it takes longer, inform the tournament staff for a replacement.

DJENRE was the tournament organizer ...
But I warned Dukasaur ... wich is now in charge of that tournament, as I offered him to help to change the main thread in case of needs.

Can u really blame/accuse his sitter(s) for this , u cant expect them from reading all the forums , way much to read here.
and 2nd is this a really excisting rule ? Or more a fixing of a problem on that tournament Lindax made ? If so would this not belong more in the Discussion forum ?

also, this is an actual rule. More a clarification really, since it limits how in good faith you can sit accounts as opposed to multi accounts

uhm i know for sure most sitters dont read the pm on the acc they sit

it is a bit hard if a sitter neither reads the pm's nor forums and do not mention their name in gamechat (although this last is a bit hard too) How is a TO, or mod going to contact those players and why should they. its the job of the sitter to be up to date and compliant with the siterules..
But yea, i get your drift. Things do fall in the cracks.
