Game #8313842

Accused:

Nimrod7
Ferid

The accused are suspected of:

Conducting Secret Diplomacy

Game number(s): 8313842

Comments: Ferid had previously taken Africa. Ferid had only one troop on Nairobi. Nimrod7 had 22 (!) troops on Dubai. Africa was otherwise well-fortified. Nimrod7 did not take Nairobi on his turn from Dubai, thereby giving Ferid the extra three armies for controlling Africa on his next turn. Ferid then placed no armies on Nairobi on his turn nor did he bother fortifying Nairobi on his turn. The rational thing for Nimrod7 to do here would be to take out Nairobi. The rational thing for Ferid to do here would be to fortify Nairobi. Neither happened. Looks very shady to me.

Just because someone doesn't break a bonus doesn't make it secret diplomacy. Nimrod explained he reasoning and it is a sound reason to not attack. Sometimes being patient is the way to win the game. Also what attacks that you think another player should make aren't necessarily the attacks that they think are best for themselves. This is CLEARED.

I'm new to this game. Perhaps someone can explain to me Nimrod7's reasoning in that situation. Otherwise, I'm liable to develop a reputation as a player who is always crying wolf.

This is from the game chat.

Nimrod7 wrote:This game is about cards not continents. Popping the income of a player who may cash next turn and hit me back does not seem too smart.

What he is saying is that he doesn't think it is worth breaking someone's bonus and risk that he starts a feud. The game had escalating and he doesn't think a bonus is that important.

The question to ask is, did Nimrod think it was worth making an enemy that early in the game. In my opinion he didn't.
