More annoying than anything else but still it just seems uneccessary.

Regretfully that kind of talk is tolerated here on CC. You have the ability to foe this member and he will not be able to join any games that you are in and you won't have to read any of his post. I know that isn't what you want to hear but he hasn't broken any rules. I am going to mark this CLOSED.

It's obvious that the rules have been set loosely for a reason, and I have nothing against trash talking in the form of cussing or foul language. But the forum guidelines state that "flames" aren't acceptable (Flames are posts or parts of posts which, directly or indirectly, insult, belittle, bully, name-call, or otherwise attack another user, and are not allowed.-copied from the forum guidelines). I believe when a another player takes to insulting someone simply because of not playing within 5 minutes of their turn starting it would fall along the lines in "flaming" rather than simple trash talking. But that's my opinion on the subject and since my opinion obviously doesn't matter entirely too much on the subject I've just added them to my foes.

The game chat is not the forums.

CC takes a liberal stance at what is said in game chats. The only thing said in Game chats that will be moderated is bigotry and spamming. Stalking players game and posting in them when they are not in the game is also moderated.

You're right it's not in the forums, but the game chat guidelines refer to the forum guidelines as such: "What is not allowed is any form of bigotry or other flames as outlined in the Forum Guidelines. Please report any such comments that you find offensive." which directly points to the forum guidelines.

Sorry I didn't read your response in its entirety, so you can ignore the obvious misgiving in my response above, though I would like to point out where you say the only thing that's moderated is bigotry and spamming. In my quote of the game chat guidelines you can see it also mentions flames.

Yeah, and it also says

You may not be used to hearing or reading those "four-letter words", but some people do and will use them. This isn't a reason to open a complaint about the player; just kindly ask them to stop or ignore them.

That's why I said I don't care about the cussing, but personally insulting someone for not taking a turn after five minutes has nothing to do with cussing.

You also have to consider how many reports would be posted in here if CC was to do something about any flame posted in a Game chat. Trust me, this place would be full of reports, and more multi's would be running around, as the Multi Hunters wouldn't have as much time to catch them.

That's why the rules don't say report any and all flames, it just says report the ones we find offensive. That's what I did, wasn't trying to waste anyone's time. Sorry that our interpretations of what the rules indicate seem to differ. Just figured I'd put my 2 cents in, in the hopes of keeping everyone else from dealing some jackass's asinine comments that have no bearing or merit in the game.

skooner55 the shear volume of games makes it nearly impossible to moderate game chat. Another reason to not moderate it the fact you can foe someone and not have to read game chat or forum post.

I guess that's why you're not asked to try and moderate all the games, instead we're instructed to help you by posting about the abusive players.

Yeah, and a lot of players could easily take a simple F word in a game chat offensive. Trust me, i've seen it happen.

And I completely understand that, but you're arguing moot points about subjects that are explicitly accepted in the guidelines.
