yeah, I'm not debating that. My question is, are people going to foe me based on my rank in speed games - and if so, may I have a refund?

No refunds are given. Maybe take his advice in the future? Players don't tend to like it if the same player constantly joins the same game setting over and over and over.

all of these maps are different, they require different strategies in each case: it takes experience to learn how to play them individually. this was the first time he asked me not to join his games - I would have respected his request if he had.

Most people on the site will not foe you because of your rank. There are very few people who do that. I've been foed by 3 people who I've never even played a game with because of my rank (so it works both ways). It does get annoying when the same person is in all your games, and if it's a 1v1 speed game, I can understand Pixar for not wanting to play you when 1v1 is about 60-40 for good players. He'll lose a lot of points to you in the long run and would have to maintain about an 80% win rate to break even. There are plenty of game out there at any given time. Just avoid Pixar and move on. I imagine you should want to avoid him at this point anyway.

And deadbeat's piss a lot of players off. So if you continue to do it, you will probably earn a spot on a lot more peoples foe lists.

In general, no. In speed games, if you start them, perhaps. There are a lot of people who will join your game because they expect to win. There will be plenty who avoid your games because they are afraid they might lose too many points to you. I agree about win %. If you are playing 8 player escalating games, then 13% is right on average. If they are 1v1, that's another story. Find your niche and I'm sure it will improve. Just don't judge the site because of a couple people's attitudes. There are plenty of assholes out there. Pixar isn't one of them, but I do understand your frustration with this.

EXACTLY - if ppl who turn out in fact to be cool are still going to have to refuse to play new people in order to protect their rank, there's something wrong with that, imo.

IDK, I'm new I might be missing something. Personally, I don't care about rank, except for the fact that it's a reason for otherwise decent people to discriminate. What do you get for having high rank/medals, free subscription? A bus pass? If you lose your rank does your wife leave you? =p
