Other: Playing speed games on my account while I was off internet and he was covering me. He played 6 speed games and lost all 6, and when I left I was Major. Now I am LT. He dropped points and abused my account. This makes me very angry.

I got this pm from him:

Two weeks ago I gave away 6 people my PW: Thota friends and LOW friends. They missed turns. I tried another way. I will never give away my pw again, but my point is that ArendH was cheating. It does not matter what I did here, as I was not the one who was cheating. Topic is = ArendH abused my account.

Fixed the links. And he indeed abused it. Sitters may not start new games. Thats in the rules after all.

I apologize - I found the account-sitting guidelines, and you're right, he did abuse the account. I knew starting new games was frowned upon, but didn't realize it was actually against the rules.

I think players should know the few rules here on this site. Besides that, people with brains can think of the fact that it is wrong to use another one's account to play games you cannot play on your account. Those players should pay the 25 USD as I did.

And telling me: "oh, 6 games lost when you were out" is very easy to think of that that is WRONG. Dropped from Major (2001 points or so) to LT again.

I don't want to imply that what he did was acceptable, but this raised one question for me.

Would this complaint have been filed if he'd WON 6 games on the account?

He will probably get a warning for it, but don't count on getting your points back.

YES, as this is about fair play, cheating & abuse of MY account.
(Because of the loss I just ask a point reset, that is all.)

I want justice and I would definitely have reported him as well even if he had won all 6.

I don't know, mods will decide, but I can ask for 6 games lost when I was not even around on the whole internet. So it is worth trying as I hate to loose points like this. I will see what the outcome is.

1) yes this is abuse.
2)no you will not get a point reset.because i think the only way they can do this is by deleteing the games which is not fair on the other player.
3)maybe i should of been listened to a few months back when i brought up a sug about registered babysitters with references for people 2 use. instead it was just laughed off.


and by the way them six games did not add up 2 over 200 points

I am a professional account sitter and game chat diplomacy specialist.

In my expert opinion this is definitely ACCOUNT SITTING ABUSE. Games are NOT allowed to be created by sitters and only tournament game invites are allowed to be joined by a sitter.

- point reset is not fair if they can only do by delete games, as the other players will go down in points -> I agree fully.
- point reset: just add up those 6 games the points I lost & add those points to my account without deleting games. Must be possible I think. (And yes 6 games is not 200, but fact is I left as Major, 5 days later I am lt.) So to be fair I think: mods, check games and calculate the points I lost on those 6 games and just add this to me. That is fair.

I changed my pw directly off course!!!! And I am VERY careful with my pw, he was the only 1 last week who had my pw as my former friends missed turns. Sighs. Ugh. (Thota & LoW friends MISSED TURNSSSSSS!!!!)

And I have no idea what they do to him, that is up to mods, not up to me. Warning is ok, ban is ok. Whatever those rules are.

And if I do not get a point reset for these 6 games, then I am not only disappointed in the players here, but also in team cc. But that is no problem for me. Just another reason to leave, may be. May be not. I just think myself that it should be fair to ME to give back exactly those points that I lost for 6 games that a cheater abused my account. If I do not get those points back, then I won't sleep worse then I do now. I can only hope team cc is fair.

and how well did you know this guy. i wouldnt report someone i know for this. i could care less about points. in fact, i will allow cc to take points from me, and give to you. and while were at it, we should just set new precedents on this website cuz of the six games on your acct. that were lost.

When you post, just below the Preview and Submit buttons are a list of check boxes. One reads "Disable BBCode". Uncheck that box. This allows "quote" and other similar tags to work properly.

Looking at this.

Natascha in the PM that he sent you click on the ! icon in the upper right hand corner to report the PM. That will help to figure this out.

First of all, joining non-tournament games is indeed an abuse from his part.

Second, this game was thrown - http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=7843017 . Oceania had 2 neutrals and he took them both, also taking the Bangkok neutral which would heavily protect him?!?!?! Maybe the guy just sucks, but when someone plays so poorly I say guilty until proven otherwise.

Third, I doubt you'll get your points back. Think of it this way: if you invite a burglar inside your house and your goods are stolen, can you get money from the insurance company? Well, I'm not sure how the law goes in your country, but I'm guessing no, as you brought this upon youself. Why should it be any different here on CC?
