Well according to the last line of his post, he's being sarcastic. And apparently, his post wasn't edited.

It's in a very small font, so maybe you just didn't see it.

Nobunaga wrote:(also, my rants vs women here and callng them c*nts, etc.. is sarcasm, in case you're new here)

Yeah those comments are abusive and offensive towards women, but if he truly is being sarcastic, then I suppose that may be grounds for SOME leniency in deciding this. Of course, there's no way to tell for sure, so I guess it's up to the mods to decide.

I'm just gonna go ahead and quote his entire post for the lazier population.
Nobunaga wrote:... The vulgarity of liberals with regard to female conservatives is striking. I ran across this bit and was taken a bit aback, amazed that women nationwide weren't outraged. Perhaps they were outraged but that anger didn't get any coverage?

... Then I stopped and thought, hold on! These guys are dead on target. I mean, who the hell do these chicks think they are? F*cking bunch of neo-fascist c*nts is what they are, right? Am I right? Making me pies and giving me pleasure is their job, their only job that I care about. We gotta shut these b*tches up, seriously.

... Some highlights:

Playboy magazine writer Guy Cimbalo released his list of top ten conservative women against whom he’d like to commit violent sexual acts last June. Calling these acts a “hate f*ck” in his “So Right It’s Wrong” article, Cimbalo explained that he “might despise everything” about women like Michelle Malkin, Fox News’s Megyn Kelly, “The View’s” Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Mary Katherine Ham and Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann, “but goddammit, they’re hot!”

Cimbalo listed the physical attributes of each woman along with short explanations of why a self-respecting liberal male shouldn’t be attracted to them. A “hate-f*ck rating,” presumably to tell others just how good the sex would be, accompanied each listing as well.

... You tell em' Guy!

From Rolling Stone Magazine, on Michelle Malkin:

“This move of hers to spearhead the teabag movement really adds an element to her writing that wasn’t there before,” he wrote. “Now when I read her stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy, set of balls in her mouth. It vastly improves her prose.”
... Lovely image, isn't it? Those hairy balls might shut her up for a while, eh?

From MSNBC's Olberman, Malkin again:

“She received death threats and hate-filled voicemails all thanks to the total mindless, morally bankrupt, knee-jerk fascistic hatred, without which Michelle Malkin would just be a big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it,”
... Classic. A bag of meat, for a little Asian stirfry!

From ABC's Nightline, running a story on Barbie (the dolls)

“[Barbie's] been an astronaut and a rock star. Pop icons Beyonce and Shakira. She's won 'American Idol' too,” he began. “Some would argue she also ran for vice-president in 2008,” quipped Wright, after showing various clips of Palin.
... Gotta' love it.

you actually believe he was being sarcastic?

Wow...admittedly I did not seem the minute disclaimer (I have poor vision.)at the end of his post which is exactly what his intention was. I believe He wanted to get his views out there (show he agreed with the rabid sexist trash he found online) and then have a little failsafe. He knew full well those views he expressed would get him in trouble so he tried to make alittle backdoor escape. Well I am calling him on it and I am calling out the CC moderators to deal with this. People have been in trouble for far far less than this.

This is disgusting.

If he doesnt believe what he posted than why post it? There is no point. He doesnt have a poll going. He isnt calling out for them to be shut down. He isnt expressing disgust over it. He doesnt condemn it. He is merely laughing about it and using it to publish his own hateful views. He even provides links to view more of the filth.

The fact that he included that disclaimer at the bottom now that I think about it shows him up for the real swine he is...he is a sick person.

Well being sarcastic or not it is over the line.

Isn't racist epitaphs also used jokingly or sarcastically and found unacceptable?

I'm sure MrC would have a comment on this but being a man I find the "C" completely across the line and unacceptable. The few times I have ever used it rl was jokingly to very good friends or to incite anger.

When I read that post It did not hit me as being used jokingly but I'm not sure that really even matters.

It's commonly known women find offense to it.

I agree with you that it's very hateful, and I do have my doubts about his being sarcastic, I'm just saying that most people on this site don't say that they are being sarcastic if they aren't, at least not in most of the cases I've seen. They just tend to spew their racist and/or hatefull garbage openly and don't really give a damn.

But yeah, no denying that this type of talk should be punished.

Luckily some people have been around for long enough to get to know the people who frequent Off-Topics. Nobunaga is clearly being sarcastic, there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Nobunaga made it clear that he was commenting on things said and written in the media about conservative women. Why else would he provide four quotes and a link?

Thus, the charge of sexism falls flat. He isn't talking about women, he's talking about how women are talked about.

What does that leave us with? Just some "bad words". "Bad words" are, however, not prohibited in the guidelines as such, they are context-dependent. What may, in one context, be an offense, may be allowed to fly in another. Any attempts to exploit this is likely to get you for spamming/trolling, though, such is the beauty of context.

Unless a higher authority overrides this decision, Nobunaga is CLEARED of the charge of sexism. If his opinion that there should be equal outrage over liberal media blasting prominent conservative women as there is over conservative media blasting prominent liberal women appals you... Well, there's little to be done about that since it's a quite reasonable opinion to propose equal standards.
