BTW. He rates almost only fair play. 5 stars if/for no cheating. How is that abuse?

In case you don't know if no stars are given there is no effect on that category.

Leningrad has been Warned.

Ratings Abuse is where a user rates their opponents unjustifiably, haphazardly, and systematically, using the Ratings Tool in a destructive or inappropriate manner. Ratings Abuse will primarily come in the form of unusually Poor Ratings, though Ratings Abuse may also come in the form of unusually Excellent Ratings as well.

He is not getting the Warning for leaving no stars. That is perfectly fine. The scale once again is:

No Stars = N/A
1 Star = Extremely poor
2 Stars = Poor
3 Stars = Average
4 Stars = Above Average
5 Stars = Extremely Good

His abuse comes in the form of leaving only 5 stars in the categories he rates in. Which is a 1st for me. Out of a possible 1104 categories to rate in (Fair Play, Game Play & Attitude) he has rated 692 5 stars and nothing else.

Interestingly odd decision.

How is it if you rate those who play an absolutely honest non cheat game, which is what the fair play rating is for, not worthy of 5 stars? Fewer stars would mean something questionable happened.

When all you rate is 5 stars then your abusing the system.
When you rate sub par on a majority of people for vindication/cause your mean its abusing the system.
When you tag users with untrue tags then its abusing the system.

Like I said I have never ruled upon a case nor seen one where someone was to get warned for rating "too good" but there is a 1st for everything. Leningrad has rated only excellent (5 stars) to everyone he has rated.

The fact that their are a lot of no stars or N/A's has nothing to do with it.

P.S.

3 is the median number, anything above is above and beyond average, anything below is below average

Well I guess I abuse the rating system too king. I rate 5 stars when there is no cheating or crap diplomacy going on. So that's abuse? I call it 5 star fair play.

the abuse is that all he leaves is 5 stars or nothing at all. Their needs to be a diversity there.

The rating system is highly subjective and is scrutinized way more by the community then it should be, so we try our best to come in and provide a concept to keep it under control without abuse. The way we handle it is that if a user rates poorly everyone they play against or lose against and that's it then their abusing the way the system was meant to be used. Same goes on for the latter side, if a user rates only highly for users they play against and that's it then their also misusing the intentions of the system.

Its meant to be used as a fair accurate measure of another user that you can obtain from looking at other peoples interactions with them.

As per this user everyone he has chose to rate has been either 5 star worthy of the category of which he rated or not worthy of mentioning at all.

After page 3 or 4 of his ratings you will see he rated in every category not just Fairplay and they were all 5's as well.
