Brann2006 repeatedly misses his deployment round to gain an advantage in freestyle games and take the first turn. It will cost me in several of the games that i joined with him to play freestyle expecting a live back and fourth game. Please check his record, he has done this numerous times and it has allowed him to rise all the way to colonel.
Accused:
Brann2006The accused are suspected of:
Other: gross abuse and intentional deadbeating to gain an advantage
Game number(s): Just some are listed below. Any excuse about missing the turn is not true as many of his turns for round 2 were taken minutes after the turn was missed.

Are "tha bitches trying to farm [you]" anyone that joins a game you made? It seems your concerns would be resolved by having an automatic deployment or stop starting freestyle games if you're afraid people will join them and then take their turn.

this has been dealt with before with precedents being set...
brann, b00060 was warned in the past for this. i am guessing the same will happen here.

I dont see why this should be elligal, but shure, if I get warned I'll stop. But that would seriously just be stupid...

This can actually be a cause for a warning. Interestingly enough under, if one can call it that, the
b00060-precedent. So this guy knows what he’s talking about, he can spot this tactic for sure…
See:
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=239&t=97871&hilit=manual+miss+turn#p2232990Also, quoting the mod-statement:
king achilles wrote:Although there is nothing saying that you have to deploy first, however, to intentionally make the other player wait because you intend to miss the deployment stage is not right. With all those games provided here, you managed to let all those players wait(even though you are actually there to deploy your troops), just so that you can have the first turn? Whether there is an advantage in this or not, the whole setup, from creating manual/freestyle games and deliberately missing the deployment stage is already wrong.
And with that much games as evidence, b00060 has been warned for gross abuse of the game.

Indeed... See the post above. If
b00060 has continued doing this subsequent his warning, it seems to me that he may face further mod-measures. And have you just countered b00060's use of this tactic I don't see why that would warrant any measures against you (then assuming that you haven't used it against anyone else).
Seems to me that someone *coff* should start digging up manual/freestyle/city mogul games here to settle this.

Going through b00060's past 1v.1 freestyle/manual games, I see no intentional missed first turns.
However, Brann2006 seems to have put this tactic into use the past days.
See e.g.:
Game 6119898Game 6119901Game 6119907Game 6119908Game 6119913Game 6125753Game 6137027Game 6137031Game 6137033Game 6137037Game 6137040Game 6137041Was a nice game chat in
Game 6119908:
2009-12-19 19:34:32 - oregonducks33: rt
2009-12-20 19:43:48 - Brann2006: shure
2009-12-20 19:45:44 - oregonducks33: why did u miss a turn?
2009-12-20 19:46:27 - Brann2006: were working all day long
2009-12-20 19:47:04 - oregonducks33: kk
2009-12-20 19:51:02 - oregonducks33: gg
bull *coff* shit.
However, seems to me that his is where Brann2006 got the idea from:
Game 6119897I.e. not b0006, an opponent pulled this one and Brann2006 may have thought it was a good idea.
Personally, I don't care much. It's using the game engine to one's advantage. But, past mod-practice is past practice.

Brann2006 I had no intention of missing a turn, it is not like you can double turn anymore, which I am sure you used to do to gain your rank. I am just going to take my full time each round, and give the mods time to make a ruling. If you are so bad ass, I'll challenge you to a 20 game war. We each make 10 unique maps and settings and see who wins. As you can see, I am not a one trick pony like you coward.

this is why freestyle is crap. All it does is cause issues like this and allows people to farm noobs. (though it can be fun sometimes, but it's used for more evil than good)
If you wanna play freestyle then live with it's flaws.
I'd like to see the scoreboard if freestyle never existed...bet the whole first page would be different

the first 3 pages would probably not have bought premium. the big R would be conqueror.

Interesting concept Alexandra....
loosing 3 out of 79 pages, Vs the (supposed) countless ? hordes who decided to not join CC because they were Sodomized with freestyle.
Hmmmmm. We'll never know.

K. It's just that it has previously been deemed to fall under the general abuse rules - please see the thread I linked to above.

Eh the Big "R" as you refer to him as played loads of Freestyle in fact had a 213 game win streak at one point. In General Discussion look up Rabbiton The Noob Whisper

Hmmmm......how do I make this post without flaming this %@%^&& of a *$#@$$% and he's also a *&%$^% and the horse he rode in on. Brann is a very cheap player . I played a speed trips against him, he took 2 turns and cried his little eyes out about the dice, then he proceeded to deadbeat the rest of the game, go off and sulk in a corner, while he remained on-line taking other turns. I rated him accordingly, then placed him on foe. Some time later I inadvertently joined a tourney game against him at which point he showed how mature he was by leaving me a poor rating in revenge for my honest rating against him. I think the 2006 in his name signifies the year he was born.
