jbcb and cbjb multis [cleared]

Accused:

jbcb
cbjb

The accused are suspected of:

Being Multis
Point Shaving

Game number(s):

Game 6088031

Comments:
One premium...one freemium. Both from New Zealand. They play almost all of the freemium's games together. The names give it away. Could it really be this easy to find multis? I listed the game I'm in against them....but there are 40 more in their lists where they play together. The freemium is a low rank, the Premium is a higher rank. Obviously doing this to protect points.

agreed... They could be tricking us into thinking that they are 2 people... or it could be true. I don't see any sign of them being the same person though. Yet, like mentioned above, let's see what the mods say.

It is one person. Each account takes turns at the same time. I think a simple ban of both accounts would be the fair decision.

i dont agree with that.. its very possible they wait for each other to take turns to discuss.. there is certain games i do that with my partners.. anyway, u could be right.. i just think if they were multis they would be trying to gain points in a different way then playing doubles on the same team.. they just arnt abusing the system and doing what all mods ask all players playing in the same household to do.. play as a team so there is no abuse or any natural way to give the one u know the edge..

again mods will put down the hammer soon enough

Ultimately if they didn't report via eticket that they were playing from the same household, per the rule, they are to be banned. I'm just quoting the rule.

Maybe im missing something but looking at the rule section there is no print about having to report an eticket if you are playing form the same household? i have played plenty on this site.. and i have never seen this rule, its more of a suggestion to avoid any debate of being a multi.. if u could show me where this is written i would like to see it.. thank you

I'm just glad that the absence of this rule has been clarified. I'll cite this thread in future discussions. I have seen the "rule" that I quoted used to bring down the ban hammer, but since these two are coming in from the same IP...and have been cleared without getting a warning nor ban...a precedent has now been set.

May I ask what precedent has been set?

When two or more accounts are coming from the same IP, the assumption will be that they are not multis but instead that they are two or more distinct users. They will be cleared, they will not be banned.

thats not true at all... there is more then just ip check to determine multis..

A. There has never existed such a rule that states you must declare yourself via an E-Ticket if your playing from the same household.

B. We have our ways to tell if an account is being used as a multi with or without the same IP configuration. Being on the same IP doesn't automatically mean your abusing the site, and vice versa.

C. For the record these 2 along with the DrH account were clarified as 3 separate users all using the same IP a long time ago, and investigated to determine the validity of that claim. Back then and now the evidence presents itself as 3 separate accounts. The precedent that is being set is this:

You can willingly contact us to declare information like having 2 separate users playing from the same computer/IP scheme if you so wish. It doesn't automatically mean that you are given the clear go ahead to abuse the site by it actually being a multi, you will still be investigated. If you don't declare yourself and later on in the process of having your account you are accused of abuse you will be investigated. If the evidence that presents itself is strong enough to warrant us to Bust the accounts then we will, and you will be allowed to submit a debate via an E-Ticket where we will review the facts that you provide us. If you use the same IP it doesn't automatically mean you are a multiple account abuser. If you use different IP's it doesn't automatically mean that you are not a multiple account abuser. WE HAVE WAYS THAT YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF TO HELP US DETERMINE THIS. And lastly if you are abusing the system no matter how sly you are you will eventually be caught and dealt with according to the community guidelines.

Also where was it stated that they came from the same IP? My wife and I play here and according to our internet provider we have two IP's.
