guys its not real life. You havent lost money or anything like that and if your such a good player youll be able to win on most settings and will get the points back anyway.

As a certain mod would say

suck it up cupcakes

Three things:
1. I, and most other people, are here to have fun. Actions maliciously undertaken to prevent me or others from having fun should be discouraged.
2. Were one of the victims me, and I'd been inadvertently duped into a game on an unfamiliar map with unfamiliar settings, I do lose something: time and patience.
3. Just because points clearly don't matter to you doesn't mean they don't matter to others.
4. Eat a bowl of dicks. I'm not talking about bad dice or a bad drop or losing or any of the other negative outcomes that I voluntarily accept as possible when I join a game. I'm talking about being duped into a situation not of my choosing. Intentionally. Maliciously.

The fact that you (and other like you) don't think he did anything wrong is a sad sad commentary. Sure, you might say that I'm taking this one case too seriously, but if there's one thing I've learned about retards, it's monkey see, monkey do. And this is the sort of behavior that simply must not be tolerated, lest lenient treatment encourage others to do the same. How would you like it if you couldn't click on a link in all of CC without wondering if you're going to get dropped into a foggy crossword game?

The basic concept here is called general politeness, and it shouldn't have to be rigidly codified in a set of rules.

And it's "Suck it up, cupcake." No pluralization, for dogfucker's sake. Have some respect for the departed. (note to the mods: I wouldn't have used the word "dogfucker" were the eminently more practical and reasonable "f*ck" been allowed)

It seems your all out to get tom. Who was the trick played on coz i would very much like to speak to him before jumping to conclusions! Was this between friends? Was it some random bloke that got knobbbed.

Those issues really depend on remorse and repentance! Lets not make a mountain out of a molehill as usual

I was one of the people this happened to, and it gave me a laugh.

Like I said earlier (cena also stated it), It's a game people, calm down

i don't care if it was meant for your friends. i don't care if some people don't care about points.

the fact is that ANYONE could've clicked on that link. what if someone who had spent a lot of time here getting to 4000 points clicked on that link and ended up losing 50 points...i doubt they'd be very happy about it.

the other problem is that once someone sees you doing it, they'll do it too. as i noted earlier in this theread, you pm'ed someone you pulled the prank on and told them how to do it. something needs to be done.

your reactions show that you know it's wrong, but you're trying to find reasons why it isn't. grow up.

I think he didn't think about the implication's of what he had done or was doing! Im quite sure he realizes now that it might have effected others. Thankfully, no points were lost and no serious complications occurred. Ive given him a stern warning as well!! He is just a boy of 17 and a nice boy at that. Very helpful in every way.

yes, tom can cause quite a bit of trouble when he doesnt have anything constructive to do. but he is a good guy at heart. im sure hes learned a valuable lesson from this incident and he most definitely wont be thinking about doing it again.

like my mother used to say....well, she didnt really say much, mostly it was the stick that did most of the talking. :-#

Humley we all know T-O-M has not learned anything. How do we know this? Well time and time again we hear the same thing, and yet he seems to get in trouble over and over again, even after being forum banned, chat banned, etc. The point is he is OBVIOUSLY not learning and not wanting to change. His track record has proven that despite what he may tell you. Humley when are you going to learn T-O-M is giving you lip service. He tells you one thing yet does another. As said before this is not just about the game link, but a pile on of everything T-O-M has done to this point. T-O-M sounds like the boy who cried wolf to me. How can we believe anything that he says.

Mods will decide on a ruling, but in a public venue like this everybody can voice their own opinions. Now lets keep this civil, before it turns into a huge flame war. Joke or not it was wrong. Apey it does not matter if I was the one who clicked the link or not, if someone does not speak up now, he will continue to do it thinking it is funny.

Already done ;) i have apologized to willis many times and cena and bspride, those were the people affected, and 66% of them came off for the better, and none of them cared; not that that justifies my actions, but if it doesnt affect you, stay out of it :) (talking to bruce)

And bruce, why would i do it again if i know what a traumatic experience this has turned out to be, on your half.

This post just confirms what I and others have been saying. (T-O-M cannot handle himself on CC in a manner with some maturity.) Tom I remember you telling me about 2 months ago, when you were on forum ban that you would not be getting into any more trouble. How many times after that have you been warned or sat down and had a talk with? Well lets not count shall we... ;) When you tell someone one thing, yet do another does not look good on your part.

I think after this incident, we the TUC, will keep tom in check. And as he clearly stated, he's apologize repeatedly to those affected by this.

I'm sure hes really learned his lesson time. Some people like to push the limits to see how far it will stretch. In tom's case, I think hes learned how far those boundaries exceeded. He will be wise to not create such troubles again, if not for himself, then for our clan.

Bruce, I hope you can give him one more chance to show that he's not the criminal that you see before you, but just someone who went a little overboard with the pranks.

Yeti, I have always been a fan of you because of your great work with greasemonkey, so I won't make any snippy comebacks, but I do want to say that my last comment was made in the sincerest form possible.

Tom and I are good friends and we are very much the same. Fortunately, I have a little more control than he does and know when and where it's appropriate for childish pranks and such. so please don't dismiss my comments as bullshit just because he and I are clans mates.

This has nothing to do with your comments. This is about t-o-m. Your own admission... " I have a little more control than he does and know when and where it's appropriate for childish pranks and such." He goes a bit overboard sometimes. I exchanged PM's with t-o-m, so lets see what happens in the coming months.

But Jako - the problem is - Tom hasn't shown any remorse - he hasn't apologised - he doesn't see that it was bad... therefore why do you think that he is never going to do it again.

Very Disappointingly half of your clan also don't think it's bad too.

Then there's the argument "It's not specified in the rules therefore I can do it" -> I feel that anyone that says that comment deserves a warning straight up - as it's therefore their intention to pick holes in the rules and try to "game" the system.
