Generally speaking I think 72 hr would be quicker than playing it out on most mid-large size maps
Well a case happened few weeks ago of someone deadbeating on USA 2.1 which is a very large size map. I tried to argued it might have been faster to deadbeat but he was sanctionned for intentional deadbeating anyway. It was a sequential game of course.
its laughable that you (and don and caffeine) are comparing regular trench players to Jacobsgold. Nothing he did was normal. Don came up with this list of games for me, all where I played out the game to the point where I had exhausted all my resources and had zero chance. Then I announced I was deadbeating, said Gg and moved on. One game I was pissed and didn't announce but the game was still lost. Jacobsgold deadbeats everything. 1st, 2nd, 3rd round, 2player, 3 player, makes no difference. He says nothing and just leaves. If you can't see the difference then I feel sorry for you.
So this is off-topic and I hope the mod will focus on my first post exclusively, but I will respond to you btown80.
1st, I am not jacobsgold buddy at all, I am just simply a regular trench speed player which is concerned with the consequence of the ruling in jacobsgold case, because just like you I think we should be allowed to deadbeat trench speed game at a certain point.
First you say I am comparing regular trench players to jacobsgold, so I would like you to take a second to look at jacobsgold games.
jacobsgold played 8412 games on CC. Among those 8412, 5164 were
speed trench games, which, I already told you two times at least in the other thread, explained the 84% attendance of jacobsgold. Not the fact, imaginary, that he would be deadbeating everything.
Now let me go to this 2nd part. You said :
jacobsgold deadbeats everything. 1st, 2nd, 3rd round, 2player, 3 player, makes no difference. He says nothing and just leaves.
This is not true, or rather inaccurate.
It happened, a few times, that he deadbeated a 3 players games. But this was, in the games I checked at least, either only 2 players remaining, or obviously because he lost connection. Because yes it happens. It happened to me as well, so if you are saying people losing connection in a multiplayer speed game should get 1 month ban we have a real problem. Does it happen more often to jacobsgold than to me or to you ? Yes definitely, but you know why, because 90% of the game jacobsgold play are speed games. So of couse when you only play speed game, it happens more often to you that you deadbeat them.
Now if we go on the overall of jacobsgold games, he does NOT deadbeat multiplayer game often.
Same go the example in which you would like jacobsgold to deadbeat 1st turn.
Jacobsgold is a lieutenant, which 40% win rate. If he was deadbeating as you said he would never have such a score nor such a win rate.
There has been people deadbeating 1st round to lose points, I am telling you they are cook in a hour, not lieutenant.
So the problem is, everything you claim is actually wrong. Jacobsgold does NOT deadbeat 1st round on a regular basis, and he does NOT deadbeat multiplayer game on a regular basis often.
What is true about jacobsgold is that he often has 4 speed game waiting at the same time, and it did happen, that for some reason he left computer or lost connection, and people joined his game, and he deadbeated them 1st turn. But this is a relatively rare occasion.
And the same thing actually did happened to me, and probably happened to every regular speed players.
Another thing that happens often is the pop up no working, and you miss 2 first turn, then noticed your game start, then sometimes you just miss the 3rd because game already lost anyway.
All there things are the reality of why you can find example of jacobsgold deadbeating some games round 1.
Because please, tell me what interest there is for him to deadbeat a game round 1 ? Again, lieutenant,40% win, I am telling you he is playing to win.
If I am defending him it's because I have played him a couple of time, 16 times to be precise, and he did not deadbeat any of these games. So I know what you are saying, and what you think is wrong.
Now in the thread you accused him of deadbeating, you didn't argument with any of these games in which he miss round 1, or multiplayer he deadbeated. You simply referred to one game against you in which he deadbeated round 8. Maybe the game wasn't over at all, and if it is the case as you claim, then I think he might have deadbeated because of real life issue or connection problem and not at all to annoy you. And therefore you just got an innocent judged guilty.
I did check his speed game, he didn't play any other speed at the same time he was playing that one game against you, or if he did I didn't find any. So I do think he didn't deadbeat the game against you intentionally.
One thing that annoys me a lot, is that you claim he deadbeated round 5 in your OP in the other game, and said it was extraordinary early, while in reality he deadbeated round 8, and you deadbeated at same point in a game with the same setting.
Please note, I would never have opened this one against you if you haven't been such annoying responding to me in the jacobsgold one. I don't know what you felt the need to come reply while I was asking the mod some questions about it and the case was already closed.
